LAST MONTH’S SURVEY & CONTEST RESULTS

There were about 50 surveys sent in again this month, so we picked out two winners, one man and one woman.

CONTEST WINNERS:

Lydia and Rob
——————————
LAST MONTH’S SURVEY RESULTS

THIS MONTH’S QUESTIONS:
In the relationship department (romantic or otherwise)
1. What are doing to achieve your short term goals? (the next year)
2. What are doing to achieve your long term goals? (the next ten years)

Female Responses:
===============================================================

— Short term: I’m getting out a lot more. I’m making an effort to be friendly with all guys, even those I’d normally pass by. I’ve found that sometimes, those awkward looking guys are really great people.
Long term: I’m looking at myself and seeing what’s holding me back from reaching them. Am I subconsciously pulling away? Am I actually inhibiting myself?

— Short term: Putting my life in order so that life doesn’t get in the way of my relationship.
Long term: Trying to identify and work on the things I do that drive people away after they get to know me.

— What I’m doing to achieve my short and long term goals: Simply showing my mate the commitment, love and respect that i have for him and romance has never been a short coming in our relationship and I continue in that path.

— Short term: I am swimming and losing a little weight in order to be physically more attractive to men in the next year. I’m taking care of myself for me and I hope that someone wants to come along for the ride. I’m smiling more, much more. Long term: Regarding relationship goals I’m more open to more adventure. I want to say yes way more than no. I want to be involved for the long term without breaking up due to boredom.

— Short term: I have taken up Salsa dancing and Texas two-step dancing to have close contact with men.
Long term: Even though this is cutting way back on my social life with men, I have stopped settling for less than quality relationships and friendships. I seek only relationships that are mutually satisfying.

Male Responses:
=
==============================================================
— Short term: I am getting me ready for a relationship by finding out who I am. I realize that I can change no one but me. I look at how I perceive all that goes on around me and see how I react to those events and question why I reacted that way. I am also looking for what appeals to me and makes me happy with a partner so I’ll know what the heck I am seeking.
Long term: I can do no long term until I get the answers to the short term questions. Until I see what I am looking for, I work on my own inner peace without a partner.

— Short term: Taking time to relax, socialize, and learning new ways to connect to people.
Long term: Finalizing my long term goals, and in meantime getting my life organized.

— Short term: I am expanding the places I meet women. In the past, it was always clubs, bars, gyms, that’s it. Now taking a little extra time off work and expanding to church groups, work organizations, and even recently a dating service. Didn’t believe in them in the past, but have seen it work for others so I thought I’d give it a shot.
Long term: I am increasing my savings using 401k and a financial planner to be able to better support a family.

— I am doing the same thing in order to accomplish my short and long term goals. I have written them out in much detail so that I am positive of what I want without a doubt. Each morning and evening I read my goals out loud to myself. In the morning, I commit to doing one thing that will get me closer to my goals. In the evening, I check to make sure I stuck to my commitment.

— Short term: Since I am no longer in school, where it is very likely you may meet new people and have more opportunities to socialize, I try to get to places like the mall or other places where a number of people (such as hot chicks) are likely to be. As for long term, I live in the now, so I’m thinking only of short term.

— Short term: Going out more, trying to meet as many people as possible (with the help of mones, of course). Taking part in more activities to meet members of the opposite sex. Trying to speak up more often to women.

— Short term: I’m going out to clubs and going out to places where I can meet people, as well as being more sociable with the girls I meet in general. Plus also I’ve picked up some pheromone products to try as well.

Q and A:

Q: Do pheromones have a smell? I thought they were scentless.

A: In order to be considered a pheromone a substance must be able to have some effect on our behaviour without being consciously perceived by the nose, or in simpler terms it must be able to do its work without having a smell in the normal sense of the word. All that said though, some pheromones do have a very noticeable smell, which most but not all people can detect. Actually, that is yet another amazing thing about pheromones, how differently they are consciously detected from one person to the next. For example, the testosterone-linked pheromone androstenone can be detected consciously by only 75% of US males. The other 25% of the male population smell nothing. Women on the other hand are much more likely to detect a smell when exposed to androstenone.

To those who can detect the smell of androstenone, the smell is often overwhelming. Some other pheromones, like androsteRONE have a very mild musky smell and still others like androsteNOL have a smell that very few people can detect no matter how strong the sample. The uniquely female pheromone, copulins has an unmistakeable fragrance of its own.

Smell or no smell, one very important thing to remember is that a true pheromone reaction does not depend on a consciously detected smell nor on preconditioning (memory of previous experience). It is subconscious and hard-wired into our system. It is hard to say exactly how much pheromone must be in the air to get the effects we are looking for, but it is quite likely that the threshhold is considerably lower than that which would produce a conscious smell good or bad.

All the Best,
Bruce

Feature Article: Medical Tribune; review of article on Cutler research
–Bruce Boyd

More Sex anyone?

The prestigious Medical Tribune ran an interesting article covering a controled study done by Dr. Winnefred Cutler which seems to indicated that men wearing synthetic human pheromone supplements have more sex than men who don’t. The doctor refered to the tested sex pheromones as “the natural substance given off by healthy virile men in their 20s that makes them so attractive to women” Wow!

In the study 38 men were randomly asigned to two groups. One group was given a small bottle of the pheromone brew to add to their own regular aftershave, while the other group was given a placebo (plain alchohol with no pheromones). No one knew what they were getting or exactly what the experiment was about. Everyone was told to wear the new mixture and keep a record of all “romantic activity” for the next 8 weeks.

The results were “stimulating” as the pheromone supplement users were reportedly “busier sexually–engaging in significantly more hugging, kissing and sexual intercourse with their female partners–than before the study”

Results in detail: “Forty-seven% of the men using the pheromone reported that they engaged in more sexual intercourse since using the cologne, compared with 9.5% of the placebo users.” And, “Thirty-five percent of pheromone users reported they slept with women more often, compared with 5% of placebo users”

Dr. Cutler was quick to add that there is more to this new medicine than fun and games. “Studies have shown that sex with a regular partner makes a woman more fertile, and that regular sex delays the aging process, while increasing self-esteem” she said.

Wow again, finally someone says sex is “good for you.”

Alan DeCherney, MD., chairman of ob-gyn at Tufts University in Boston, was also pretty happy about the results: “It’s good,” he was quoted as saying “to have a product that increases romantic attractiveness.”

But just in case, don’t forget to smile!

NEW PRODUCTS ON THE MARKET

Rogue Male

Rogue Male was actually custom made by Stone Lab, but not for Love Scent pheromone Store. It was created for a company in Florida that went the way of so many internet businesses these days, they woke up one morning and decided to stop paying their bills. After taking a test sniff, I decided to take a gamble and bought up the entire stock, so Rogue Male could become a collector’s item some day. Judging from the response so far though, it is possible that Rogue Male will reincarnate as a new product using the same specs. In any case, we have 1100 bottles and they are going cheap with a lot of free stuff thrown in.

What is Rogue Male?
5 mg androstenone with a fragrance somewhat like APC (Androstenone pheromone Concentrate). It comes in a 10 ml open-mouth bottle. It is clearly for men only. Have a look at the:
Rogue Male/SOE Special

Or check the pheromone Forum to find out what users are saying about it.

User Corner

Just thought I’d tell you about Sunday. I saw my man D. (the reason why I bought Lure For Her) after 2 weeks of not seeing him. I was wearing Lure that day and after he hugged me, he told me that I smelt gorgeous and then he kept touching my arm when he was talking to me and standing as close as he could get to me. I’d mixed Lure with a strawberry scented perfume that time, the one I’d told you about in my last e-mail, but was it Lure that had the most effect on him? It didn’t make him want to rip my clothes off or anything but maybe that’s because we were in a public place.  What exactly does (or should) it do to men? I haven’t seen D. since Sunday but he’s called me.

Why does Lure smell so strong in the bottle? I only put a little bit on my throat and wrists and it takes about an hour to absorb into my skin. I have had many compliments that I smell nice since I started wearing Lure, but not much action, apart from D. on Sunday.

Anyway, must go now. I’ll keep you up-dated on my progress with D.

Take care.
