How much should we be
cutting it by?
I\'ve never owned
an atomizer, but maybe by 2 or 3.
I tried six dabs (one
each arm, behind each ear, and two on throat) yesturday on the way home from work yesturday. Didn\'t have anyone
come up to me like that one person did yesturday. I did notice that a lot of women were sniffing the air when I
came around. Oh and once again I noticed about three people nodding off around me on the bus. Kid of about 7-8
years sitting in front of me snuggled up to his mom and went to sleep. Hmmm . . . I wonder . . . .
So far this
brew that DST has cooked up for use would come in very handy to relax someone after or during a stressfull day. As
is perhaps it may come in handy when you are in bed with your girlfriend, special someone, or SO. I\'m going to
see what will happen if I spice it up with NPA and/or unscented SOE.
Oh and another weird thing. Just as I was
entering my driveway one of the neighborhood cats came up to me, rubbed up against my legs, purring loudly.
The weird thing is that this cat always bolts whenever I come
nearby (whether I\'m wearing the stuff from my phero arsenal or have no pheros on at
all.)

Mayby the cat liked your new smell.
I have that with birds, and cats
too.
So, it doesn\'t only apply for people, whenever i used this new product. I get lot\'s of stairs from
people. So far i only been using phero\'s as standaolone too see what types of hits i would get, so far everything
is impressive.

Searched Google. Civet is a cat!
That is
way funny. SwingerMD, I think you\'ve found a new \"friend\".
http://cats.about.com/cs/basichealth/a/cive
tcat_2.htm
A civet is called a
\"cat\", but they are closer to ferrets.
I think the cat may have been reacting to the valerian root, which
I use more of than most other perfumers (see the perfuming basics thread for recipes). Someone in the \"story\"
thread posted information that cats like it as well as catnip, which I did not know. (This makes me wonder if cats
like smelly feet, though I know I am being illogical) But the other day I was sitting on the grass while wearing it,
and a cat plopped down right next to me. So part of the mystery may have been solved. I should have advertised it as
something to \"attract pussy\" with... (ba doom boom Yes, the
groans are deserved!)
I read that cats really
love Valerian tincture or essential oil, but that the plant itself (Valeriana officinalis) wouldn\'t really
attract more cats to roam in your garden.
There is another plant that does, Catnip (Nepeta cataria). Apparenly
20% of all cats and most young kittens don\'t react to catnip. It\'s a non-addictive \"recreative drug\" and
unharmful for cats. It is said that it stimulates the same brain part as that for orgasm in cats. Guess Pheros is
the human equivalent of Catnip, huh?
Cats love dirty
socks. I have two cats, and the female, when in heat, was almost always wrapped around a dirty sock. (Mine, or
anyone else\'s. She didn\'t seem particular.) Same with shoes.
SRH,
I have a male cat
who\'s CONSTANTLY rubbing his face on my feet whether I have shoes, socks, or nothing on them. Until now I\'ve
always assumed that he was scent-marking me as his \"mark\", HIS chump, olfactorily signalling to other cats not
to try to get a free meal out of me for doing nothing more than being virtually worthless, as he is. (He once sat
and watched amusedly as I caught a mouse in a butterfly net in my living room.
)
I hadn\'t figured that the scent exchange might have been
going both ways before.

I think the converse is also true. Catnip is the feline equivalent of pheros (in the generic
sense).
I recall reading that Nepeta is a botanical analogue of a cat pheromone, which is why they can get off on
it just by smelling it.
DrST,
The civet question reminds me of one that I keep forgetting to ask you.
What
about Castoreum?
(Trying to hold back a beaver reference with all the discipline I can muster.)

SwingDoc,
I think YOUR \"animal magnetism\" has long been
established here on the forum.
Wasn\'t there an incident with a dog \"assuming the position\" for you a couple
of years back?
Anyway, Congratulations on your matriculation to \"Pussy Magnet\" !!

Oscar
A friend
had a dog who would always hang around me when I visited. She didn\'t hang as closely to others like she did me.
The dog also liked my feet, would sometimes lightly nip at them when I walked around in flip flops.
I had gotten
into pheromone colognes by this time, though pre-Love Scent, and I wondered if this was a factor in the dog being so
attracted to me. I tried an experiment where I opened a bottle of pheromone cologne and another cologne that I used
regularly and sat them on a low table to see if the dog was drawn to either of them. The colognes were ignored
completely. So I guess I just have tasty feet.
So it appears NARLY
feet are the next new STANK frontier!

Good Doctor,
I had a roomate many years back who had a positively
\"Zappa-esque\" case of \"Stinkfoot\".
This guy could come walking down the hall, fresh out of the shower,
and within a few seconds the entire floor of the house would smell of his OMG, WAY TOO NARLY FEET!!
\"..and you
rinse it off and you suppose.\"
While the debate here may suggest that SOME degree of stinkfoot may be
beneficial in your relationships, (with cats at least), there are limits that I believe should be observed.
I
recall his getting professional medical advice to wash his feet in Formaldehyde to eliminate the stench. He either
didn\'t try it or it didn\'t work, I don\'t recall which, for his feet continued to stink like no others
I\'ve ever encountered before or since.
Re: Castoreum
re:PHEROS
Q. Is it in there?
(If I only had a nickel
for every time I\'ve heard THAT!)
Oscar

There is no castoreum
in Pheros.
Although I\'m a foot lover, I\'ve always disliked NARLY feet quite a bit! That is one of the
most off-putting odors in my book. But more often than not it is due to medical condition. Sandal-wood works really
well on feet, in my experience. Feet seem to even enhance the sandalwood a bit. I could wear the same socks for days
and not have stinky dogs, maybe for some genetic reason. I think it is a matter of health and endocrine balance.

Thanks for reminding me Oscar.
I still can\'t figure out why I haven\'t gotten any similar
rxns when I wear the liquid SOE. Anyhoo, I\'ve been very careful when and where I wear the packet SOE.
Haven\'t been to the zoo in years. Definately don\'t want to end up in a episode of \"Animals Gone Wild\".

On another note I wore about 6 dabs of Pheros at the weekly
dance that I attend. Very noticable differences. I didn\'t notice any interest from any of the newbies, but
there was a whole lot of interest in people that I do know. I don\'t think I\'ve danced so many familiar faces
in months. A lot of them pressed really close when given the chance. This one woman that I have been dating really
opened up that night. She was clearly monopolizing me the entire night she was there. She even came up to me and
gave me a very big hug in front of everyone before she left.
Oh and there was one exception. Another woman
that I was dating before was mostly cold that night. In fact it got downright icy after she saw the other person
give me that big hug.

I was just thinking of
posting this yesterday. About 15 years ago, a friend told me of a girl he had known, who would avoid the primate
section of the zoo with a passion. It seemed any time she neared the monkey cage, the monkeys would gather towards
her and start masturbating like crazy!

Funny thing is,
I now remember with my first experience with it (out of three tries) I got sleepy too, and posted about it.
Wasn\'t sure if it was really Pheros at first, but now that I remember that, it likely is. I am thinking
I\'ll be okay with some none added though.
Hmmmm... I hope it
wasn\'t the perfume. I know I have lots of allergies and have never reacted to it that way. But you could be
allergic to some of the ingredients. It would be good for you to familiarize yourself with different essential oils
to find out if there is one that bothers you. Has it hapened every time you wore it?

Hope what wasn\'t, getting allergic or
getting tired?
I have gotten allergic all three times I have worn it. I know I am allergic to cats, dogs, deer
musk.... Plants don\'t really get me allergic, ie pollen.......
As for getting tired, that happened the first
time I used it and just today. Since a lot of SOE does this to me, and I have read of some others it has done this
to as well, I just assumed it was the pheromones in pheros that was doing it.... When I washed off the Pheros
application today, the extreme sleepiness largely subsided
I don\'t have a lot of experience trying different
essential oils...I do own a cheap cologne, however, that kinda induces some mild coughing/asthma, it is called Blue
Jeans.
I don\'t ever get allergies or asthma that much and haven\'t been around anything that would induce
it. I think the biggest problem for me is wearing pheros when I am laying down in bed, my chin pressed against my
neck....it brings the pheros closer, I think I am okay standing around with it, the allergies don\'t really seem
to come on.
I did some looking into
the EO Valerian root. It metions that valerian root is used to make Valium. Interesting . . .

I use valerian extract to go to sleep (occasionally) but didn\'t
think sniffing the EO (same thing??) would put me to sleep.
As I said, I put
quite a bit of valerian root in there. I have no doubt it is responsible for some of the physiological effects of
Pheros. Smelling the EO, which is very concentrated compared to the plant, and has complimentary chemicals
besides the active ingredient of valium, does affect us. (But this perfume doesn\'t put me personally to sleep
like valium does.)
I
just received pheros #56 or it could be #58 I\'m not sure...I do have say that this is something that I have never
smelled before. I actually had no idea what to expect. I\'m so used to buying colognes like Aqua de gio and issy
miyake, that this to me is a far left field approach. The scent is VERY different almost like what an old man would
wear, if that makes any sense. I\'m honestly not sure if I like it yet. Though after putting some on the back of
my hand, I have to say I can\'t stop smelling it.
I\'ll get a chance this coming weekend to test it out and
see what people think. Thanks Doc, for the work that you put into this. It seems like people on this thread really
like your product. As for me, maybe it\'ll grow on me.
Thanks for the feedback, o. Yeah, those are basically citrus colognes, especially Aqua. The advantage
of citrus is that it\'s easy to get a nice, fresh, young, non-offensive, boyish effect; that is good for
day wear. I could make a nice citrus next time, if people wanted, as that approach is indeed pretty opposite from
the one I chose. But I figured that since almost every popular cologne for men is citrus-based, I\'d try something
different. What smells \"old\" might be the old approach to perfuming, emphasizing the natural, deeper masculine
notes; along with the animalic, musky note. Generally these notes make a cologne sexier, however. So it\'s a
compromise sometimes. I was out to maximize the erotic effect with this one. Depth in a man (or his smell) could be
associated with age for some. I haven\'t noticed any specifically \'older\' type of effect to it, though. My
strongest hit connected with wearing Pheros (yes, \"that kind\" of hit
) was from a 25 year old. What is your ethnic background? You could
try using it in smaller quantities, for the phero/aphrodisiac effect and also possibly covering it with Aqua or
something similar for that kind of smell effect.
SO
when can we expect the next shipment of pheros?
#92.
