Just like christians and hindus etc

there are non practicing, moderate, fundamental and extremeists islamic elements - the terrorists are small in

number but with the weight of motivation and media coverage and some big al quadea money behind them they are a

threat. Most iraqis actually welcomed the US invasion - its the subsequent going ons and a fair bit of arab world

media hype + a lower standard of living that drives the issues - its the poor countries that have the worst records

(well the poorer citizens that normally drift towards crime - black communities in USA for instance - that instead

of crime they are recruited by extremist muslim elements and easily manipulated and then go do jihad)

This is

a very touchy subject and many more factors are involved - a moderate easing of the teachings of islam would help -

indonesia has 120M moderate non threatening muslims there who are mostly democratic and tolerant (except for a few

pockets and bali)
