A

country like Spain has to do what is best for itself. Every other country does that, especially the United States of

America.. If Spain\'s leaders think it is best for their country to withdraw troops from Iraq, than you would have

to respect that rather than blaming Spain\'s voters for this. That is a rather cheap shot, IMHO..

I think the

article is right with the assumption that probably Al Quaeda is in charge for the bombs. The goal not to give

terrorist power over countries and their people is also commonly agreed.

The rest of the article doesn\'t

make much sense to me.

What we already have, and already had before the spanish bombs is a major increase of

the number of terrorists in the last one or two years as a direct result of Bushs behaviour. It is the result, not

his intention.

With his politics, Bush does exactly what the terrorists want him to do (to kick a$$). The

terrorists act, Bush reacts in a way that \"proves\" what the terrorists want to be proven. So the terrorists are

already in control.

Germany had its terrorists problem (RAF). It took many years to solve, but it is solved.

The successful strategy had two components
1) strength. This is similar to Bushs tactics.
2) silence. This is

the opposit of Bushs Hollywood tactics. Nobody used the topic in elections. This gave the terrorists the feeling to

be alone without support from any ordinary people. And this is why they gave up. Silence is what terrorists fear

most.

If you will recall, Al Qaeda tried to blow up the World Trade Center back in the early days

You can\'t blame any of that on Bush as he wasn\'t handling terrorist policy from the time

If we had gone after Al Quada the way Bush has after the

A new set of tactics to help fight terrorism needs to be

other terrorst groups)have. But this requires more finesse than putting a tank into the landscape.
And

Afghanistan needs to get on its feet quick, so they can help better at catching more al qaeda members.

Just

started readin this thread and want to chime in

1)The one thing I think Bush has done right in his adminstration

was go after the taliban. Though going after Sadam in Iraq had nothing to do with terrorists. All the reports say

that Sadam was a BS muslim and that is very important to Osama and company. So I seriosly doubt he would even try

to sit down to work something about with Sadam (much less team up with him). I seriously doubt that Clinton could

have done anything thing about the WTC attacks. Maybe if our government wasn\'t such a slow and jumble mess that

note that FBI agent wrote could have gotten to the president\'s hand.

2)Muslim Fudmentlists, they are the ones

who do what the koran and the hidthe(sp?) literally say, want us dead because we are a nation of perdomintely

christians -- they hate christians -- and because we support Israel. They hate Jews. I have to aggree with Ash and

Elana on this. Don\'t believe me? Go read \"Tea with Terrorists\". It is written by a guy who risked his life

and actually interviewed with some of this fudmentislists. Now personally I think that most muslims are bad muslims

(they belong to the religion because it is part of their culture) and are actually good people. You can\'t be a

good person and a good muslim. They are mutally exclusive.

With his politics, Bush does exactly what the

terrorists want him to do (to kick a$$). The terrorists act, Bush reacts in a way that \"proves\" what the

terrorists want to be proven. So the terrorists are already in control.

<hr /></blockquote><font

class=\"post\">

If you will recall, Al Qaeda tried to blow up the World Trade Center back in the early days of

the Clinton adminstration. We did practically nothing to them for that attempt, yet instead of Al Quada backing off

and the threat going away, they came back with airplanes and succeeded in knocking the buildings down the next time.

You can\'t blame any of that on Bush as he wasn\'t handling terrorist policy from the time between the

first WTC attack and the last one.

If we had gone after Al Quada the way Bush has after the first WTC attack, I

doubt the second one would have happened.

<hr /></blockquote><font class=\"post\">

You\'re probably

right.
But you don\'t talk about my main argument: that Bushs politics leads to much more terrorists all over the

world.

You haven´t even tried to understand what I and some other people here are saying. NARROW!

Stop telling the rest of the world what´s good for them when you don´t even give a damn about what might happen to

others with such an attitude you don´t even deserve any support

Start behaving like you´re part of a team. Just because you think

your approach will work doesn´t mean it will. Stop acting like you know everything better and the rest of the world

is stupid including the terrorists. Underestimating an enemy is one of the biggest mistakes one can make.
There´s

other options that need to be considered too.

You don´t give a f*ck but I do!

I took your comments (iirc) to mean that Al-quaeda would get the idea it

would be able to walk over countries that caved in that way. It didn\'t occur to me (unless I read you wrong and

missed you saying it) that they might start planning to hit other countries on the eve of elections.

Go back to

sleep and have sweet dreams about ending terrorism by kissing the terrorist asses. Which is what you Euros do so

well.

A team? What team? A team that sits on the sidelines wringing it\'s hands? A team that turns and runs

away when they get hit? A team that stands there with their hands out after the real team has done the dirty

work?

You don\'t like our game plan? Fine. But I\'m still waiting for your plan. Let\'s hear

it.

Yeah, we will just all get together and talk about it. I\'m sure we can find some common ground. I wish I

could observe that meeting so I could laugh my ass off when they cut your throat.
