Is there any way to

make a friend of yours seem more interesting/slash attractive to the opposite sex?

Ladies, have you ever been

intrigued when a guy points you in the direction of his friend? I have tried many times to help mates out (in

appropriate circumstances of course) but it never seems to work out...

It\'s my mates birthday tomorrow, and it

would be great to see him have some girl based fun. We are going to a pub tomorrow and then to various clubs, and

then a few of us are going back to his house. I get the impression that he would appreciate some female company

He\'s not hideous or anything, just doesn\'t seem to have

much get-up-and-go about him regarding women.

Any ideas?

love to add.

If a friend of mine has hooked up with a girl and they introduces her \'friend\' to me, 90% of

the time it doesn\'t work. In fact it always seems to come accross as the hookup-ee\'s attempts to get us

together and screws things up right from the get go.
I\'ve been much more successful approaching my own way.

MUCH more successful.

Of course, this doesn\'t apply to casual introductions like friends of friends etc,

I completely forgot

to post this, I had to get off the PC before I could finish writing it so I saved it.

Anyway, here\'s how that

night went:

Well...

It certainly was an interesting night! My mate was quite drunk by 8:30, a consequence of

going out with a large group buying you drinks. We left the pub at about 9:00 and headed off to our first club,

which in reality is more of a bar/club. All on his own, he managed two pull two slightly unfortunate looking girls,

but I was content to just let him rip in all his inebriated glory.

Two hours and a few drinks later, we set off

to the \"real\" club. By this time I was also moderately drunk, and with my new found super human logic I decided

it was time to try out the \"Here\'s my friend\" method. I have to say I was very surprised, the girls seemed to

love it. Well tolerate it at first, but they ended quite willing to talk to him and kiss, it being his birthday

certainly helped. I was quite pleased, my mission was accomplished, I had managed to get some very attractive women

(two of whom were from Sweden - \'nuff said [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] ) interested in my

mate, hurrah [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]! Unfortunately, the dumb bastard managed to cock block

himself almost every time. After I had been talking to a girl for a while I would introduce her to him, get her to

take his hand etc., but he would lean in and say, \"He\'s only joking, just ignore him &lt;drunken grin&gt;\"

(and various other intelligent conversation killers), so they did, and walked off.

The only time he really

played along it worked really well. There was a group of girls and I started to talk about him to them, called him

over and got him to hold hands with one of them. Then I started saying how it was really nice, and that I was sure

she could make him very happy on his birthday. I was telling her (much more attractive) friend this aswell, and in a

bizarre twist of fate my arm ended up around her waist [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] So after a

while of talking him up to these girls, I suggested they kiss. At first it was just a quick peck, but after I

complained they kissed properly. After more talking and another kiss (the girl I was talking to had gone to the

toilet - or at least that\'s what she said [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img] ), a few things fell

into place. The girl my mate was with was wearing an \"L\" plate around her neck, and they were all wearing silly

things on there heads. Yes ladies and Gents, a hen party. And yes, he had just pulled a bride.

After that we made

a fast getaway, but didn\'t get too far as I saw a very good looking girl dancing on her own. I started talking to

her and told her it was my friends birthday, and she looked at him and said happy birthday etc., and asked how old

he was. I cut in and asked how old she was (she looked 20-22) and she said 23. Then she turned to him - at this

point I\'m praying that at least a couple of his brain cells are still firing - and asked him again. He said,

\"I\'m 18 today!\" - so that\'s a negative on the brain cells. Predictably she said that he was a bit too

young, but I couldn\'t resist and asked how old she thought I was. \"22, I think. Am I right?\". I told her that

if she thought I was 22, then it didn\'t matter [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]. We talked a bit

more (hey it\'s only fair, it\'s my turn to get some attention! [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]

[img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] ) and it turned out that she was only 21. I made a big deal about

it and she got quite concerned that I didn\'t like her anymore (lol). We joked around for...I really can\'t

remember, vodka was really kicking in, but I ended up asking for her name and said goodbye, see you next week maybe

etc., because I had to rescue my friend again.
