Default Bowflex

Are these as good as standard

workout machines. I see it doesn\'t have a bench press. Will it give me as good of a workout?

    Anyone have

one? I need someone small and light weight. I have a big clumpy thing right now.

    I know two people that

have a Bowflex... they both LOVE them. They swear that you can work all muscle groups.... but I have never

personally used or witnessed this myself

No luck. I did learn that SRH used to make

popcorn and watch the bowflex informericial with her friends!

Maybe I will seperate \"bow\" and \"flex\" in

    the search keyword

    No probs bjf.

    I

would take what those guys said negatively with a grain of salt. Most are pretty jaded body building wise. I doubt

everyone in that group tried it and it is fun to bash like how geeks bash Microsoft, but they do know what they are

talking about, way more than me. The guys over there prefer free weights because they are going after

volume/definition big time....body building! Bowflex and others are known for their cutting, definition producing

results. The way the bowflex is made it is going to produce great definition. Though for that much money? Gold\'s

Gym PowerFlex is what I have been looking at as of late.

Here is a guy who used the Crossbow (not as good as

    old

    bowflexy)

What are you going for? Mass/size or a cut defined look? Or

    both?

    TM:

    Yea the reviews sucked,

but these guysare really serious and for them, I guess it would not do what they needed. However, I am just a

skinny guy. I have worked out for periods of about 1 year at a time serveral years ovethe last decade.

However, I either got really slow results, or when I started to get results the last time around (though

creatine may have had something to do with that), I had to move.

I still have some big clanky weigh set wth a

bench, a pull thingy and the leg curl extention stuff (not free weights btw), but that is at a family member\'s

home, and even though they would give it to me, I have no room for it here. A bow flex would be good too if I move,

because itseems a lot more transportable. Downside is the expense and will it really give me the same thing that a

    bench press would.

Okay, what I am looking for: Well, I have hardly any body fat on me to begin with, so any

mass would come off as definition. But I want more mass.

The last time I was working out (with the creatine) it

was actually a really fun thing for me to do. The other periods I worked out, I f\'en hated it. I think though

    it can be fun again.

I know also that eating a lot of calories, protein and getting water is as important as the

workout. This was not something I was focused on before, so in essence, I was wasting my time.

    Thanks

    BJF
