Default Alphas versus pretty boys

    visit-red-300x50PNG
    Ladies.

I\'m curious about certain things that \"make up\" a sex symbol.

Of today\'s so-called sexiest men (not

counting forum members, of course ), what part \"alpha\" and what

part \"pretty boy\" are they, if you will? How about for Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, George Clooney, and

Keaneau Reeves? For example, is Tom Cruise 50% \"alpha\" and 50% pretty boy, or what? Am I missing any major icons

of today here? (Is Harrison Ford passe?)

    Does this even make sense?

    Sorry to

interject because I am not a female.

My thought it that the whole alpha and pretty boy thing is not clearly

definined. I think women, like men, just simply look for indications of healthiness, which symetry offers. For

instance, tom cruise supposedly has excellent symetry.

I guess the alpha/pretty boy distinguishing marker could

be in the bone structure in terms of wide jaw line, etc, indicating higher testostrone.

    But in general, I would

thing most women do not necessarily just go labeling men in those categories considering most of us are neither, and

rather are just interested in physical features that indicate health. Men with symetrical faces are more likely to

    have more partners, etc.

For women, that does not hold true, but a .7 hip to waste ratio can be found in most of

the women regarded as sex symbols, be it thick or slim bodies, small or big boobs.

Womn with .7 hip to waste

ratio have been found to be twice as fertile, which would explain the attraction to those proportions.

    I can\'t give you a

percentage unless I know them personally. There are lots of things to consider. But I can give you my personal

opinion of the guys mentioned, based on what I have seen of them in movies, interviews, the news, etc. Maybe that

    will help.

Johnny Depp--pretty, but kinda weird, so at least he\'s interesting.

    Brad Pitt--pretty,

doesn\'t like to bathe. ick. always seems to be apologizing for something. not alpha in my book.

    Tom

Cruise--pretty--too frat boy to ever be called alpha IMO. More likely to be the guy who wants to sell you

    something.

George Clooney--sex on a stick. And that\'s a stick I\'d love to play with.

      Alpha in an

    I-don\'t-give-a-damn-what-you-think kinda way.

Keanu Reeves--pretty. I can\'t get \'Ted\' out of my mind.

I think he will always be \'Ted\' to me.

Justin Timberlake--is still in kindergarten. How can he be

    alpha???

Colin Farell--not bad. Has the confidence thing going. But his conceit throws it all off.

    And in

case you didn\'t notice, I\'m not into \'pretty\'. Not now, not in two weeks, not in four weeks. My opinion

of men doesn\'t seem to change during any time of the month.

Harrison, btw, is hot--alpha in that

I-don\'t-give-a-damn kinda way again. Or at least he was up until the last couple years when he\'s decided he

    wants to be young again.

I really think the difference for me

between alphas and pretty boys is that pretty boys put a lot into how people see them, and want to be respected,

adored, etc. Alpha guys don\'t care what everybody else thinks, as long as its ok by them. A lot of \'betas\'

try to put on that persona, but they\'re always looking to see if it has an effect on the masses. Or they get a

little whiney if it doesn\'t work immediately. That\'s where I think it messes up. They\'re trying to ACT the

part, not BE the part. Confidence. It\'s all in the confidence.

    My two cents.

I definitely think the guys you mentioned above are hybrids by comparison,

    excepting perhaps George Clooney.

    I think Farrell

is sexy, but Crowe is too much of an [censored].

Justin Timberlake? Orlando Bloom? Jude Law? They

all be wearin\' Prettyboy Sweaters bigtime.

Colin Farrell\'s got more of the high-octane, \"I\'ll f!ck you

up QUICK\" vibe goin\' on, as does Russell Crowe.

I definitely think the guys you mentioned above are hybrids

by comparison, excepting perhaps George Clooney.

Leonardo DiCaprio... I don\'t care how much money or status you have, if anyone ever calls

that guy alpha we might as well throw out the whole system...

DiCaprio is very pretty, but not sexy.
