Default TE/w regular or vanilla

visit-red-300x50PNG
help a newbie out

folks,

TE/w vanilla or regular? I don\'t generally like

vanilla fragrances but i don\'t want to smell like a stink bomb

either. Is one easier to cover than the other.

also any companion products that i should get?
SOE, EW???

TIA

for your help

I got the vanilla

and I can´t stand it! I think if you get the plain one you´ll have an easier time covering the mone smell.

Otherwise you have to try cover both the smells. And that´s been almost impossible for me so for. Having said that

I´m not very fond of TE anyhow but I´d go for the unscented one.

Get the regular

and add your own scents to it, or cover it with your favorite perfume.

get te/w off the

used product page. For whatever reason, there are always te/w there.

web page

You will need to

sign some agrreemtn and send it or fax it to love-scent first.

btw, I would rather cover with perfume the smell

of vanilla then the smll of whatever te/w is like. Te/m is awful. I have te/w vanilla, and it isn\'t great, but

I am, glad a I got scented.

Or maybe

try one of the Edge Essentials. All the ingredients of TE, but with EO\'s to help hide the scent. I can\'t stand

the smell of TEw, but Tango (one of the women\'s EE\'s) smells pretty good to me--even now, when I can smell

again.

SOE is good to go with it, but mainly for the effect it

has on YOU. If you\'re wanting to attract guys, I would get something like PCC or PIw to go with it. The PIw

won\'t get you any real sexual hits, but it\'ll make everybody really nice, and that can get them closer, so

they smell the Edge.

I should also

mention that the vanilla in the scented TE/W doesn´t cover up the smell of TE/w hardly at all, that´s why the

unscented is better.
TE/w is not a product I tend to recommend though, there´s better ones.

Vanillin

(the artificial vanilla chemical that gives Vanilla Edge/w its scent) is a toxin that some are very sensitive to,

even though it is peresent in small amounts in real vanilla and many other EOs. It would be more effective to add

sweetener free cookie vanilla (alcohol base) to it once you got it, IMO!

Regarding covering TEw or

NPAw, I think it\'s more effective to put it on your skin first, let the top note evaporate a little, then cover

with an EO or perfume scent. As a perfumer, I can verify that mixing scents with these LaCroy women\'s products is

tricky, even moreso than with EW! On the other hand, the Tango product is at least prepared by a professional

aromatherapist, and also seems worth a try.

INMHO vanilla

belongs in cookies, not perfume!

Thanks for all the input,

truly appreciate the
help.
Can I trouble you further...

My

concern about the premix is if it is truly a value for my money..Is the amt of mones the same in both

products?
TE/w vs TE/Essentials? I couldn\'t really find much info on the Essentials. I was considering the

beginners special and perhaps EW (I have AE/w).
If you still think TE/essentials are the best value I would

appreciate your input on my choice of scent. I prefer a lighter scent.

Hmm. The

defining characteristic of currently popular perfumes, whether men\'s or women\'s, is their strong vanilla note

(e.g., Le Male)! I wouldn\'t be suprised if it was the case with your own favorite perfume. This is similar to

the \"I hate patchouli\" comments, which come mostly from people who own a bottle of perfume/cologne that contains

patchouli (mostly all of them do). They are reacting to people who use too much straight patchouli.

In the

case of vanilla, however, many who \"hate vanilla\" really just hate vanillin, or have a sensitivity to it.

I used to

think I hated vanilla in fragrances. Then it turned out that most of the perfumes I really like are vanilla-based.

<hr /></blockquote><font class=\"post\">

The EE\'s contain the same

amount of -mones as TEw, but just have an added essential oil component to help cover the smell of the TEw. I

personally can\'t stand the smell of TEw, but Tango doesn\'t bother me. The -none in it makes it smell slightly

of \'Off\' bug spray, but it isn\'t really strong and it mainly smells sharply citrus-y. I think it would

blend well with a lighter scent, and it seems to be blending well with citrus SPMO.
I don\'t think anyone has

tried the other women\'s EE.

You might like the beginner\'s special. I would recommend the juniper,

lavender, or citrus SPMO. They all smell yummy. And unscented TEw

can be covered by perfume, but heavier perfumes like Angel do a better job, in my experience. I seem to be really

sensitive to the scent though, because when I\'ve smelled it strongly on myself, friends I\'ve asked don\'t

smell anything but my perfume/lotion. Dunno what gives.

I hope

this helps!

Pardon my ingnorance on perfuming (I am trying to learn-reading

the perfuming thread), however I\'ve never been a fan of vanilla candles, potpourri, or other strong vanilla based

perfumes. Your comments about TE/w vanilla confirms my suspicions that it would be the wrong choice for me.

Thanks again,
kat

I\'ll also be paying attention to other tips that may come in handy from the above

mentioned perfuming thread.

Well, Allure and Shalimar do quite well, and both have a vanilla base. Guerlain perfumes are

notrious for their vanilla bases.

Some experiments with male

arousal found that most men said that they find vanilla to be the sexiest scent on a woman. However, they were

actually aroused by the scent of... pumpkin pie.

Pumpkin Pie is

the biggest run-on smell for me. It gets the blood rushing you know where.

Females looking for scents to turn on

men need look no further. You can spend 3.00 bucks and get soemthign way better than the expensive

prefumes.

Elana was

talking about ordering one, not sure if she did yet, but if so, you can as her about the smell. Oh wait, I guess

the smell is pretty self explanatory

i\'ve never

heard of pumpkin soup. Nobody really wears pumpkin pie as a fragrance, but maybe that is because girls don\'t

know what it can do to a guy. Plus people don\'t like wearing fragrances named after foods. Angel isn\'t

called Chocolate afterall.

sadly you can only make them for a short time. 2 years ago I we

made some extra and just froze it for later
If you ever get the

chance you gotta try it. The tase depends a lot of the type of pumkin too, they all taste different from each

other.

What else do people do with the inside of the pumkin when they´ve finished they halloween lampp things?

remember, just

popcorn salt. It comes in a regular salt bottle, but is specifically for adding salt over popcorn, as it tastes

different then regular salt.

However, it works great with pumpkin seeds, better than regular salt, but it

isn\'t absolutely necessary.

Well I made my

decision, thanks for all the input folks.
I\'ll stick with the beginners special. I did consider the used

products, but I liked the comfort of having the return
gaurantee.

BTW I am so glad I found this forum and the

L-S website, I had ordered a couple of products from other sites and felt a bit less than secure about the choices I
