I have two little kids, so the buzz
around here is pretty intense already. The two kids next door are orphans for the evening due to insane work
schedules of their parents, so we will be taking them with us tonight too. It\'s sort of weird, but here in
Eugene, there are a couple of areas of town that have built up a reputation of being *the* areas to trick or treat
in. The decorations are unreal; front lawns converted to grave yards; spectacularly costumed folks answering the
doors; a few houses here and there converted from top to bottom into Disney quality haunted houses. It\'s nuts
and as you can guess literally no place to park; suburban neighborhood streets bumper to bumper with parked vans and
cars used to \"bus in\" kids from the rest of town.
Last year, we didn\'t even get one kid at our house. No
street lights or sidewalks.
Oh yeah, I planted 1 single
pumpkin plant in our garden this Spring and we got quite a crop. We\'ll carve them this afternoon.
Anybody
else doing anything particular on Halloween?
Have fun,
Bruce
