Maybe you

already said this 6 months and 263 posts ago, but where do you get your ambergris? I\'ve got some from Profumo in

Italy and I like it. But I really don\'t know what the concentration is.

I am not loving spice. It really

needs something to sweeten it up. I just added a few drops of vanilla and now it reminds me of a spicy carrot cake

Spice has Bergamot, carnation,

sandalwood, patchouli and cedarwood

Could you suggest anything else to sweeten it up a bit. I didn\'t add

the vanilla to the bottle...just my wrists. Is vanilla my best bet?

You could try benzoin and

just a hint of Valerian or ambrette. A smidge of cardamom might even be good. Go light on the vanilla if you decide

to use it. You could also go with a bit of orange or lemon. There really are tons of ways to proceed.

I was thinking benzoin too. Something about it reminds me of an

unfinished \"Turning Oriental\"

Maybe some citrus and some benzoin....thanks...I\'ll mess with little bits at

a time.

smelled a bit like Windex when I first put it on. Shortly after it started smelling beautiful.

before. It is nice. You have to make up the amber beforehand, though. But you could use the recipe I posted for

amber. I just dropped it in sticky drop by sticky drop. I may have ended up with a bit more than I was supposed to,

but it smells really nice.

answered there. I posted the message below in the Pheromone Discussion section and Elana suggested I post the recies

here. As I\'m watching Survivor right now, I\'m just going to cut and paste my post from the other

thread:

I\'ve been making a few different \"aromatherapy\" mixes for several years now. I first got

interested when I found a book, Magical Aromatherapy, by Scott Cunningham. I also have his book, The

complete Book of Incense, Oils &amp; Brews. The recipes I use are from these two books and are nowhere near as

complex or wonderful as DST\'s \"Pheros.\"

The recipes are made with 1 oz of jojoba oil and the essential

oils are added in order listed, with the bottled swirled between the addition of each oil (the scent is really

subtle):

Love Oil
6 drops Ylang-Ylang
5 drops Palmarosa
3 drops Lavender
2 drops Geranium
(Can be

worn or 10 drops added to the bath)


Spirituality Oil
7 drops Sandalwood
4 drops Cedarwood
1 Drop

Frankincense
(I sometimes wear this while meditating. I also put it on candles but don\'t smell anything when

they burn)


Fast Money Oil
7 drops Patchouli
5 drops Cedarwood
4 drops Vetivert
2 drops Ginger

Now my question is, how would I go about adding mones to these

mixes. I got kind of confused while reading the archives. It was suggested that some be cut with alcohol, which

ones? The oils like SOE, the alcohol based ones, or both?

Also, where in the mixing should these be added to the

jojoba oil? Before the essential oils, after them, or should the mones and the essential oils be mixed together,

then added to the jojoba oil?

You need to

dilute the mones in everclear, 2:1, then add to the oil.

The quality is the issue more than dilution. It's powerful stuff, and

probably should be diluted 5:1 anyway.

In the above spirit of

occultism, here is a simple version of an ancient Occult recipe. Though not an exact replication of the recipe, it

is inspired by an A. Crowley perfume of a similar nature, and is close in spirit to the original. It has vanilla

too. I regard it as potentially powerful magic, depending upon the "integrity of it's use". It is to be used

especially by gay men to attract other men, (gay men have been neglected in the forum, don't you twink? ) but can

it be used by women as well, as it smells very nice. It can be used by straight men to attract a lover as well

(I've used it this way), but be prepared to attract everyone!

Satyrical

3 drops Jasmine

abs.
1 drop Cinnamon leaf
20 drops Benzoin
2 drops Musk (add your favorite "animal" note(s) here, for

example ambrette, ambergris, civet, or synthetic musk. You may have to dilute accordingly to comparable

strength)
1 drop vanilla (optional)

subject.....SRH...I mixed in a little roll on bottle, some Pink Sugar perfume, some EW, AE and NPA. I can't smell

the mones. Just the Pink Sugar.

Edit....the EW (new version) is coming through a tiny bit. I only added two

drops.

bottle is. It is about half the size of the SOE/w. I filled it half way with Pink Sugar, 2 drops EW, 20 drops AE and

about 10 drops of NPA/w
