As much as I like to sit and play some of the songs he made famous, I have to say that he didn\'t help prolong his life.... behavior choices helped him to the grave too soon. He looked well beyond 71... he looks like he was 80.
\"Ring of Fire\" is about his suicide attempt. Attempting suicide is one of those activities best avoided by those seeking life-prolongation.
On the other hand, if you survive a suicide attempt, it can provide you with some good artistic material.
I thought the song \"Ring of Fire\" was a song about his wife falling in love with him, and she wrote it....well that\'s what they reported on Fox News so ya never know.
A bummer for sure...but I gotta wonder if he\'s standing in a \"Ring of Fire\" right now.
