This link has me convinced.

Is is legal to order these things to the United States?

DST, why have you only tried deer

musk once? Was it the himilayian kind you have only tried once that smelled so good?

    Can one only use these

animal products in extremely low quantities (just a dash) in a perfume?

<font

I need to learn more about the legal end myself. It varies from state to state.

    Yes it was

the himalayan kind that smelled so great.

Yes. In perfuming modest amounts are used, perhaps due to cost, but it

smells good enough to be a primary ingredient, to be sure. I think most perfumers don\'t use it.

Sag, good to have you back. Someone posted those links a bit earlier. I

think XVS ?? said he tried the musk out and that it was very low concentration.

Thanks bjf, been pretty busy lately...spending most of my time

Okay, so do you think that

there could be some weird first name attraction/connection thing though? In total, I\'ve dated/had sex with 13

Jennifers, and I\'m close to two more Jennifers, but the next closest name is Lisa with five. Coincidence? I

don\'t know. But it\'s just kooky that I keep nailing chicks named Jennifer over and over again. Maybe they

are spreading deer musk on themselves.

And, seriously, deer musk? I tell you people what - the next time I go

hunting, I\'ll pull out the musk glands and give them to the first person who responds. (BTW, they are nasty

stuff, and are usually the first thing cut out in a field dressing situation, so have at \'em boys.)

    Hey

    Gooy-

It\'s been a while. How ya been?

lol Don\'t think it\'s a name fetish or anything. In fact, I

don\'t recall ever dating any chicks named Erin before and I\'ve never dated two at the same time who had the

same name. Came close to screwing up a couple of times when getting a call from one and thinking that it was the

    other.

I\'ve noticed a lot of Jennifers around here, which

works out well if I run into one and can\'t remember her name. If I say Jennifer, I have a 75+% chance of

guessing right. May have something to do w/ their age range and the tendency for certain names to be popular at

certain times. Not that it really matters.

    Default What's happened since ... ?

    This is

a very old thread to re-activate - but I was fascinated by monesrule's experiments with deer attractants. I was

wondering whether people are still risking being attacked by horny deer by using this stuff. (Did the expression

'DIHL' come from using deer attractant ... )

Monesrule - what did it smell like ? - & what cover scent did you

    use ??

I wanted to try it ... but I can't find any deer attractant in the UK. I've Google searched

under 'deer attractant / deer lure / etc.' I wonder if it is available in the UK? Our deer are culled on moorlands

by marksmen - we don't have wild wilderness (with Grizzlies) where the public go shooting. However, wild boar are

being introduced again in Southern England (wild boar sausages ...) which can clash with dogs, tourists, etc.

If your not able to find

something like that locally, here's a company based in the U.S.

Although I'd read the label warnings first. I'd be real leary of getting something like that on my skin.
If I'm the rubber and your the glue..then I'd probably get some, and you'd just be sticky

    DIHL comes from that wide-eyed,

blank expression you sometimes get from people when wearing -mones.

A friend of mine is a deer hunter and the

"lure" he uses is essentially deer urine, and beats NPA hands down as a stink generator. You'd be lucky to get a

DIHL before your target fainted, or ran for the Glade.

I buy and regularly wear a musk

oil extract both alone and in combination with Aloeswood. The stuff I wear comes from himalayan deer. It gets me a

lot of compliments and looks, especially combined with mones.

I buy it from the same guy I get

Aloeswood oil from, ham firl on EBay. He ususally has a couple types but I like the himalayan best. More than once I

have had women compliment me on the smell and even one who stopped dead in her tracks as she walked by me. She stood

there for several seconds before I turned around to see what she was doing. She turned red and told me I smelled

great then left in a hurry.

    I've bought the same product

from the same source as Belgareth, and love it. The musk scent is powerful and very sexy to anyone who likes musk

(which is a lot of people), and is supposedly harvested by "not killing the deer". It blends well with any number

of scents, and covers -Mones very effectively. And yes, agree that the Himalayan is best.

    Keep in mind that all

of the products from Ham Firl are oils, and are very strong, and last for a very long time, esp the Ouds. Apply

sparingly, especially if you're among a group that more appreciates modern chemical fragrances.

    Following

Bel's example of layering different Ouds with a couple of natural musks, the possibilities are nothing less than

great. You can pick up some Sandalwood in his Attars, and it makes things a little more complicated, but with

    practice that becomes a positive.

    Bel - I can't find a musk oil on

ham_firl's ebay store with 'himalayan' in the name. Is it the one : "MUSK:Wild deer musk oil fragrance -

non alcoholic(6cc)" - $20 ? He has got several musk oils - 'Chinese Wild deer', 'Tokapi deer', 'almost pure

    deer musk', etc.

Also, do you know what else is in that oil apart from musk? I have a musk oil from

another supplier in a similiarly shaped bottle. It has got a most unusual smell - slightly perfumed - it doesn't

just smell of musk - unless that is what high strength musk smells like ?

    Thanks.

Hum... He seems to have changed

a number of products since I last needed anything. I usually buy enough to last a while so that's no surprise. Your

best bet is to write to him and ask. He's great about answering questions. There should be a link on his site or on

    EBay to ask questions.

The wild deer is a good oil though. All his musks are in nuetral carriers, without

additiona scents. I can't tell you about anybody else's products.
