It\'s largely ephedra (ma huang). I haven\'t had good experiences with ephedra.

if it\'s largely ephedra, have a look at the posts concerning Xenadrine (which contains a lot of it).
There are some side effects, other than help staying awake and giving a lot of energy : short breath, some pain in the heart region,...
Nothing lethal if you are really careful : not too much of this stuff, no alcohol, no coffee. These precautions are important, IMHO.
