Deodorants don\'t \"cancel out\" pheros, but anti-perspirants are specifically made to block sweating and sweating is how we communicate our natural pheros. A deodorant that controls the BO smell but still allows sweating is better in my opinion. Then you can add synthetic pheros, the sweat will communicate them but you won\'t stink. There are also deodorants that are entirely scent-free and don\'t contain the sweat-blocking agents. One of these is the \"Thai\" deodorant stick. Ditto that advice, you need to control the BO and let the pheromones get through without offense.

I use deoderant, not Anti-perspirant.

I use Old Spice Deoderant - Pure Sport scent. It smells very close to RM, PPA/new and AE/new.

Why do people keep saying that deodorants absorb or break-down pheros?
And what do you think: would an anti-bacterial *deodorant* be a good thing, or ya think the bacteria serve some type of purpose there?
CptKipling suggested trying aftershave in the pits to cover the BO.

one thing though: I tried the aftershave and I didn\'t like it too much. I think it may have to do with the negative perception of pheros w/ alchohol. It seemed to change the smell of the aftershave.

One other thing: cptKipling, if you are reading, why aftershave (as opposed to a regular cologne)?

essential oils (e.g., sandalwood, ambers) are a great alternative to deodorant, and they enhance pheros.

Doc, where do you get your EOs? I know one great site, but they don\'t carry them all (www.naturesgift.com) e.g. amber

Deodorant that ISN\'T an anti perspirant would work good...

Now, even if some deodorants say they are an anti-perspirant they may still be.

The 2 ingredients that block the glands from sweating are zirconium and aluminum sulfide.

If it doesn\'t contain that it should work good.

You know, that Axe stuff is just a deodorant, which is good I was using anti-persipirant/deodorant before, but, without it would stink, DEFINATELY don\'t want that...

Which, that may be another reason for the commercials etc..The portrayal of the product....Whereas most people would be wearing anti-perspirant, wearing just a deodorant would let out your natural pheros... Oh, and there are 2 types of glands, well, among 10,000 or so, but the two main ones

Again, I can\'t remember the name, just read it in AGAIN Men\'s Health (got to love that magazine)...

And...One kind is in the back and stomach, neck, etc, doens\'t smell that bad...

The other is in the pits and the groin, this is PROBABLY where the none pheremoens would be released too.? I don\'t know, etiher way, I know those got the mones, but also are most bacteria wise...

But, if you put on the bacteria killing stuff it might kill the mones too.

IF you don\'t mind sweating a bit, I use one of those stones. Works well to keep the BO down, but doesn\'t stop the sweat. I bought one for about $8.00 and it lasted almost 10 years with daily use.

I recommend the stones too. You will sweat, but it\'s clean sweat. I don\'t think any women mind that ... Cuddles

p.s. huge $$$ savings too ...
