you\'re probably using too much JB#1, and therefore going through your supply more quickly.
I don\'t know if I am doing something wrong but I prepared JB#1three times at the ratio of 7:3 (APC-NPA respectively) using a calibrated syringe and I already finished the content of the bottle. How long does the bottle last you???
It seems that if I continue preparing JB#1 I will need to buy a new NPA bottle at least once a week. Isn\'t that too often?
Please advise.
Thanks.
Jordi

\"I will need to buy a new NPA bottle at least once a week. Isn\'t that too often?\"
That sounds pretty crazy. Even if you would use NPA (or JB1) every day, one bottle should last AT LEAST one month and probably as much as two to three months. So apparently you are Overdosing the JB1 or otherwise wasting it. Hope I helped.
I need your help please. How come my NPA bottle ran out in about a week? I prepare JB#1 at the ratio of 7:3 (APC:NPA) with a syringe. Then I tranfer it to the atomizer. I put two or three sprays of NPA every day. The content of the 7:3 in the atomizer gives me about 9 sprays only. What is wrong? How can you make it last over a month?? I don\'t understand.
Please help!!!
Wow thats interesting. Your definately doing something wrong, because a bottle of NPA lasts a LONG time.

Please help me figure out what I am doing wrong. A bottle of NPA has 5 ml, right. When I prepare the ratio 7:3 with the syringe the three parts of NPA takes about half a ml from the syringe. Isn\'t that right??????
That depends on how much APC you use, of course.
How much JB1 are you putting on?
I put on two or three sprays from the atomizer. The 7 parts of APC and the 3 parts of NPA lasts about 9 sprays from the atomizer. That means I use them in about three days. Am I ODing?????
1/2 ml just for 3 drops? Sounds like you found your problem then. At that rate, 30 drops would empty your 5 ml bottle. I remember when I made a large batch of JB#1, I used about 40 drops of NPA, and it emptied a very small amount of the bottle, maybe a ml or two, I was using eye droppers though. Maybe your using your syringe wrong?
- Krish
You are saying you use approx. 0,5 ml of NPA in three days. Yes. that\'s an OD. I don\'t know what kind of atomizer you use, but it sounds like you could do with only one spray from that thing. You can also put the APC:NPA ratio down to 8:2 or 9:1.
I\'m curious on how old are you and if you\'ve had any success with JB#1. Thanks.

I am using an atomizer from Bruce. The syringe is not giving me drops but parts.I fill the syringe 7 parts of APC and 3 of NPA. Each part is 1/5 of 1 ml. What am I doing wrong????
What are you doing wrong:
1. You put on too much of JB1
2. You mix it at 3:7. I would start out with 9:1. How old are you?
I\'m 35. According to the cookbook, the best ratio is 7:3 for JB#1.
Each part of the syringe is 0.2 ml. Therefore I use 0.6 ml of NPA to make the JB#1 batch that lasts me about 9 sprays.
Is that ok?
7:3 is a bit on the high side. You should be able to see (better) results at lower ratio\'s.
I just fill the atomizer with the JB#1 badge I prepare(7 parts of APC and 3 of NPA). Each part is 0.2 ml. This badge is consumed in 9 sprays. Is that wrong?
The only thing I know for sure is that you are OD-ing.
but regardless of the ratio, is it normal that one part is 0.2 ml?
7:3 is suggested in the cook book, which would be 1.4 ml:0.6 ml per batch, right?
yes
so, I don\'t understand why I consumed an NPA bottle in just one week.
Quote from me:
\"What are you doing wrong:
1. You put on too much of JB1
2. You mix it at 3:7. I would start out with 1:9. \"
have you had hits at 9:1 ratio? What do you use to count parts? Is the drop ratio of the NPA bottle the same as an eye dropper ratio? How many sprays does this 9:1 ratio give you?
Is it normal that a new NPA bottle is just 3/4 full?
I told you what you were doing wrong and so did franki. You can take his advice or mine, either way, you end up doing the same thing, which is using less JB#1. If you *insist* that you have to use 2-3 sprays of JB#1, then use my advice, which was to use eye droppers (which you can get a pack, with 2 droppers for $1.30 from Walmart.). IMO franki\'s advice is the better one.
- Krish
Krish, what was your advice??
To use an eye dropper. Taken from my earlier post:
\"1/2 ml just for 3 drops? Sounds like you found your problem then. At that rate, 30 drops would empty your 5 ml bottle. I remember when I made a large batch of JB#1, I used about 40 drops of NPA, and it emptied a very small amount of the bottle, maybe a ml or two, I was using eye droppers though. If you are putting 0.6 ml npa and 1.4 ml apc that\'s 2 ml in your atomizer which is about 1/5th full with that much fluid in it. So if you are getting 9 sprays 1/5th full you would get about 45 sprays if the atomizer was full. 5ml npa plus 11 2/3rds ml apc = 16.667 ml of your 3:7 npa:apc mix which would be what you would get from mixing the whole bottle of npa. So going by your figures on sprays that 5 ml bottle mixed in the apc at the ratio you talked about would yield 75 sprays, and at 2-3 sprays per day would give you 25-37.5 days of use.
How do you come up with the 75 sprays per atomizer????
Ok, I understand now. I did the math but the fact is that my bottle of NPA is empty after one week of use. Maybe it didn\'t contain 5 ml to start with. I recall seeing it 3/4 full before opening it. Is it normal?
