Me.
I go up to Cape Cod where my mother and stepfather live, and visit my mother and step family. Most everyone\'s paired up. My parents are extremely affectionate with each other. Sometimes I feel so lonely I just want to tie a jingle bell around my neck, step outside and slit my throat. ho ho ho
One thing that takes my mind off of it and gives me a way to express affection is participating in charitable endeavors. Salvation Army and homeless shelters, etc. Do you have any opportunities like that available? For example, at my work we can each choose one family from a list of needy families to buy Christmas presents for. We\'re given the ages of the people and their sizes and preferences. It is so heartwarming and feels so loving to buy children\'s gifts and things for their parents, too, selecting the wrapping paper, wishing them better fortune in the coming year, knowing by your efforts they\'ll at least have some Christmas joy.
It\'s not as good as having one special someone to love but at the same time, you realize there ARE people out there who need and are happy to receive your love/loving gestures.
