Default Tree Hut butters--good cover?

visit-red-300x50PNG
I found Tree Hut\'s Mango butter and Nut butter while shopping today, and love the smell of both. Nut butter smells like chocolate and coffee, and the mango smells well, like mango. Dunno which I will use tomorrow, but I\'ll put it on after my shower.
Has anybody used these? How long does the scent last? Do you think it might be a good cover for something like a diluted spritz or two of EW?

BTW, still can\'t stop sniffing the Eau d\'Amouage. Gotta test this out on other people. I almost don\'t care if nobody else likes it, I love it so much!

I´ve never even heard of that stuff, sorry
Why don´t you try it out today for testing. Then you know how long the scent lasts until the phero smell comes through.

I should have tried to get those samples of that perfume too...oh well.

I\'ve never heard of it either. Are they like Body Shop butters, in a tin?

They\'re in a plastic tub, like you\'d find cocoa butter. I have a few black friends who swear by it, but can\'t tell me how long the scent lasts, since they usually put it on before going to bed, instead of starting the day with it.
I don\'t know about y\'all, but I find the scent of things i put on before bed stay longer than if I put them on and go do something all day.
I\'ll try just the butter tomorrow and see how it does.

BTW, they are both shea butter mixes. The mango is mango and shea, and the nut is shea and brazil nut butter iirc.
Both smell good enough to eat.

Get them. Or find a place near you that sells them and have a sniff. You have to like at least one of them.

CJ, you live in the UK right? You should get your Amouage samples real quick, because they are shipped from Derby, England.

Haven\'t beem on campus yet. Wore it the Gold EdT today in the train, and I have the idea that people really take notice of it, could be that I was wearing too much though ...

I love all the samples I have, although both the men\'s and ladies\'Gold EdT is very strong, easily to OD on. I wore the ladies Gold yesterday in house, but I can\'t imagine wearing it in public, too feminine for me.

BTW, the Gold reminds me a bit of something I smell in EW. Does anyone of you smell that too? Is it the civet stuff?

Two little sprays is more than enough. I don\'t exactly know how long, but I think each bottle is at least good for 20 applications. That is the big sample bottle:

GOLD, (ladies and men)
Dia (ladies and men)
Eau de Amouage (ladies only)

I think I love the Dia (men\'s and women\'s) a little more than the Gold.

SexyRed,
What stores have this Tree Hut brand? I found an internet site, but they didn\'t show the nut butter - that sounds so good to me.

I got mine at Wal-Mart.

One thing though, the mango left an orange tint on my hands this morning that went away after washing a couple times. Didn\'t notice it anywhere else on me, so maybe it\'s just where I had a lot of it.

Also noticed this morning (maybe it\'s cuz I\'m really tired and imagining things) but the nut butter smells more like coffee/chocolate and something a little doughy--kinda like cinnamon rolls before they go in the oven. Or I could be hallucinating. See if you\'ve got it down there and give it a sniff. The tub\'s not sealed.

Well, my skin still smells like mango, but I don\'t think this stuff would work as a good cover. Maybe with someting unscented like PIw or maybe PCC.
I wore a couple drops AEw today (wrists, back of neck) partly to persuade my prof to give me an extension, and as a pick-me-up, because I\'m whooped today. I can smell it, but nobody else has commented on it, so maybe I\'m just really sensitive to the -none in AEw. And I got my extension.

I find I can smell the -none in AEw all day, even when covered with a good perfume directly over where I put it. Anybody else have this problem? Do you think it\'s that noticable, or just my nose? I don\'t ever wear more than 2-3 drops.

What really helps is to mix the pheros in with your lotion. This way they get spread all over and the pherosmell is not strong in a few places and therefore not quite as bad.

You\'re right. FTR told me that a while back. I guess I\'ll have to try it with the -none stuff.

Do you not notice the -none when you mix it and spread it everywhere?

It´s not as bad when you apply it this way. Still use perfume as usual though. You can test by using one drop, mix it with lotion and put it one one arm. After a while say a few hours you´ll know how it works for you. Not all lotions work well for this btw

I don´t remember to tell the truth. I know there was one from NIVEA that didn´t work too well.
I´ve fallen completely in love with the skinbio stuff now. Only trouble is, it´s sooo expensive

Mostly what I use in my B&B products are triple refined butters to be unscented, but I do use some unrefined butters when I make soap. I can tell you that the cocoa butter smell can make it though a batch of lye soap! So mostly the smell will stay with you as the day goes on.

Peace,

I can still smell the mango on my skin if I put my nose to my arm. I can still smell the -none from the AEw too. I think it\'s just me. I asked a friend tonight if she could smell anything on my arm, and she said she could barely smell something fruity--the mango. And that was right next to where I put the AEw. I just have a freaky nose, I guess.

I love the smell of mango and coconut, in fact bought some Bath & Body works lotions today in those scents,... plus Cotton Blossom (which is very clean and fresh smelling, not as sweet) and Vanilla sugar cookie. Plus received my PI/w and PCC today, I am all set to do SOMETHING, not sure what! Get may salad tossed, apparently.
