Any Scots in your heritage?
Any Scots in your heritage?
maybe, can\'t tell for sure. I have traced my hertiage to Irish ancestors (Though Scots, Irish, Welsh, and some English people were descendents of a group of people called the Celts which were an offshot of a germanic tribe). A lot of Braveheart was filmed in Ireland.
BTW- The druids were members of celtic soceity, they were scholars and served reglious purposes.
Yes, I know about Druids, very cool. Have always wanted to go to Stonehenge. My ancestors are a Brit mix, too - English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh, first ancestor in the US was a Scotsman. It was cool to see a Scottish hero, made me proud. Finally some association other than \"those men who wear skirts.\" \'bout time!
Hey its a kilt Those are the same guys eatin Haggis....Now that will put some hair on your balls and chest....
Well, you know it and I know it, but try convincing the rest of the world! lol I\'ll pass on the haggis, thank you, but don\'t mind eating my share of oatmeal. See what I mean? We\'re even busting ourselves out. Scots get no respect. At least now we have Braveheart to point to.
I will probably regret admitting this, but ... did you see Oh Brother Where Art Thou? I love that stupid movie to death, it cracks me up.
i seen parts of it but my mom loves it. She finds it halarious.
I do too. It\'s corny corn corn humor but it cracks me up, I can\'t help it.

Frankenhooker??
I highly recommend a film called \"Requiem For A Dream\"
Jennifer Connelly as you\'ve never seen her before.
Rent it today.
i saw frakenhooker a while ago. It is kinda silly they piece together this hooker from dead hookers. Her arms or legs don\'t match, it is kinda funny. I thought 12 monkeys was pretty good also, but most people I know just don\'t get it.
I really liked 12 Monkeys. Seems we have similar tastes. But I must confess, Bruce Willis and Mel Gibson could probably be in anything and I\'d watch it...my two top faves.
Gladiator has to be in there somewhere too...
FTR,
Kind of love/hate thing I have going with both Mel Gibson and Bruce Willis movies. I can\'t watch most of the movies that either star in, but love certain exceptions and have seen them all several times each:
Bruce Willis
Blind Date
North
Gangland remake of a Japanese (Kurasawa) movie (can\'t remember the name)
Mel Gibson
Braveheart
A few others (names fail me at the moment)
Bruce
Hamlet and The Bounty are my 2 favorite Mel Gibson movies. And ofcourse Braveheart.
I can\'t think of 1 good Bruce Willis movie. IMO Pulp Fiction is OK but I never understood why everyone is so crazy about it. I\'m runnung for my life but wait a minute. I have to stop and make some pop tarts. And what about that soundproof bathroom. The assassin doesn\'t hear kitchen cabinet doors slamming and toasters popping? Does he shut his ears off while he\'s takin a dump. Gimme a Break. And then. How come he\'s alive again 5 minutes later? Please.
Rent Jane Doe. It\'s Callista Flockharts greatest performance.
Exit63 - If Callista Flockhart could gain 30 pounds so she could make an appearance on the screen, I would rent Jane Doe!!! She\'s way too thin for me to watch IMHO - She\'s gonna\' blow away at any minute. I\'m sure the movie is good though.
Mel was great in the first movies of the Lethal Weapon & Mad Max series. Bruce was great in Die Hard & Pulp Fiction... Why did he have to start selling Pheromones?
When you watch Pulp Fiction remember that it is not show in linear order....terntino filmed the movie then divided the scences up and reordered them....And Die hard was fckin awesome...Anyone here see Patriot??? another good gibision movie....
I\'ve seen all of Mel Gibon\'s movies and mostly don\'t remember anything about the plots. I just like to look at him. Pulp was great for a lot of reasons - I love the way Bruce Willis handled his dippy but gorgeous little sweetie in that movie, John Travolta was great with -- what\'s her name, tall skinny girl -- I loved their date -- well, the first part of it at least! lol Quentin Tarantino does get a little graphic.
Bruce Willis\'s smile makes my heart turn over and he\'s got that twinkle in his eye. Mel Gibson -- words fail me....
Calista Flockhart\'s so skinny it\'s hard to look at her.
Yeah, I forgot about that one. The Patriot was great.
I don\'t think Callista is hot. But I thought the film was very well done. It\'s not a \"Hollywood\" movie. Very low budget. That\'s what makes it good.
I think you\'re misunderstanding me. I\'m talking about the films themselves.
Die Hard Schmie Hard
I like the second Die Hard better. The one with Sam Jackson. Or is it that other guy. I always mix those 2 up.
Schindlers List
2001
Heat
Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein
The Times of their Lives
The Creature from the Black Lagoon
Ed Wood
The Attack of the Crab Monster
Fritz the Cat
Gone With the Wind
Trainspotting.
I had a dear friend in high school who took a big wrong turn into a heroin addict. At one time I checked in with him and I swear I thought that was going to be the last - he looked so bad!
He finally got cleaned up and now\'s he a lawyer - public defender - he\'s made a good life after all.
But Trainspotting got it right on the money about the life of a serious heroin addict.
