What scents do women like?

What scents do women like best? (guys with experience on this, the ladies themselves, it doesn\'t matter; if you can provide some useful information on this, please feel free to answer)

Trying to decide which essential oils I\'m going to order (not from this site though. I want pure organic essential oils without any addition).

I\'m gonna try mixing essential oils in jojoba carrier oil and then add AFA or NPA. Honestly, I\'m not all that happy with the fragrance that comes with most of the products; therefore, I\'d like to make my own scented products.

A while ago, someone posted that he had hits by simply putting on rose scented essential oil. So the scent itself is an extremely important factor as well, but is lacking in most of the products from this site IMHO.

Don\'t mix that way: oil + water effect. Either the NPA or the essential oils must be cut with ethanol to be mixable with each other. Adding jojoba first makes it worse.

You need sandalwood, amber and patchouli for sure.

From my experiences, I found out that the following colognes brought me compliments from my female friends, and from females I don\'t know.

1. Bulgari Black. (Spelt Bvlgari Black)

2. Bulgari Blue. (Spelt Bvlgari Blv) Also covers the scent of NPA/m very well.

3. Emporio Armani (it\'s in a matte black bottle) This scent got me a girl\'s home phone number, after just a few short words......and no pheros involved. lol

4. Perry Ellis 360.

5. Le Male by Jean Paul Gultier (I know I spelt that wrong.)

6. Joop!

7. Addidas Moves.

8. Polo (in the green bottle) (smells better in the evening)

9. Polo Sport.

10. Nautica.

11. Nautica Competition.

12. Issey Miyake.

Anyone ever tried Sander by Jil Sander? I\'ve searched for reviews on colognes, and found a page that reviewed 14 popular fragrances, and the only one that got a really high score was this one.

Jill Sander\'s women\'s fragrances are very nice - elegant and exclusive. I\'d say any Jill Sander would be a good bet.

Just curious if you\'ve sniffed \"Very Sexy for Him\" from Victoria\'s Secret? I bought a small travel case in there a while back that included little travel samples of their various men\'s products.

This included their cologne \"Very Sexy\" which their signs in the store said won some sort of award as being the best new scent of the year by some sort of colgne/perfume association. However, I\'ve tried wearing it and it absolutely repulses me. I can\'t stand it! So, I\'ve been hesitant to wear it, but I was wondering if any women could give me their opinion of its scent from a woman\'s perspective.

I don\'t like VS colognes. The top note might be good but the dry down always smells chemically and like hair spray to me. Is that what you\'re getting? ... there used to be a secretary here who wore a VS scent, though, and she could wear it, smelled great on her. Maybe it\'s just a matter of your chemistry.

Yes, perhaps that\'s the best way I can describe it. It\'s almost smells like an extremely cheap hair spray that my parents had when I was a kid.

Actually, I don\'t like the scent, either on my skin, OR sniffing straight from the bottle. It\'s bad either way I try smelling it.

Oh well, it\'s no big deal as I didn\'t specifiacally buy the cologne, it was just thrown in with the travel case I was really wanting. Still, I was just amazed that anybody could find the scent pleasant, especially enough to win an award.

I\'ve noticed that the scent of freshly printed $100 bills seems to improve a typical female\'s mood. Also, a new credit card\'s plasticizers often stimulates a shopping frenzy.

Has anyone else noticed this?
