      Default True HD Sound

      Folks,

      Anybody know

      anything about True HD sound and Blu Ray? I have a PS3 which will play Blu Ray discs. I hooked it up to an old

      Sony 5.1 home theatre system (plays normal DVDs) with an optical cable, and only the front speakers work.

      on the ps3, go to

      settings/sound settings/audio output settings/digital out (optical) and check the appropriate boxes and save the

      settings. you will then need to go to settings/video settings/bd-dvd audio output format (hdmi) and change the

      setting to bitstream.
