    I'm in North Texas, roughly

the same distance as you. Mostly my orders arrive in 2-3 days from the date of shipping. If you ordered today it

    will ship on Monday.

    Thanks Belgareth... it's

been a while since I've ordered from LS but I remember it taking a long time to reach the southeast corner of North

Carolina. Anytime before Friday would be fine with me...

Nothing is certain with the PO, but

I would say you have a 95% chance of getting it by Friday if it ships today.

I live in NC too, and I ordered on 7/1, the products shipped on 7/2, and I still have not

received the package as of today's mail, 7/11. That's 8 PO delivery days. Order # 33724

    I got free shipping

because the order was over $100. Looking at the L-S site there is no option to upgrade shipping in such a case. I

certainly don't want my next order to ship USPS. Bruce, any way to allow upgrading for large orders?

    Re: my

current order. At what point do you throw in the towel and consider it lost?

I'd be willing to re-order, pay

for FedEx, actually get the stuff, and send the as yet unreceived order back to you if and when I get it. I was

hoping to have it for this weekend, I have 2 nice functions to attend.

    Your thoughts?
    Thanks a million,
    Greg

Of course now that I've sent

this, my order will probably arrive tomorrow!

Still, no more USPS, they are terrible!

    UPS is somewhat

    better.

    FedEx rocks.

    UPS is somewhat better.

That's funny because here in north Texas Fedex sucks, big time.

On the average, Fedex screws about 1:6 of my deliveries. It got to the point where I wouldn't buy from certain

vendors because they insisted on using Fedex and I couldn't deal with the constant screw ups. A supplier once sent

me a package from about thirty miles away, Fedex routed it through Atlanta and took five days to get here. Their

answer when I complained was that they didn't guarantee delivery times. UPS, anywhere in north Texas does ground

    delivery overnight.

USPS has generally been reliable but not as fast as UPS.

Guess it depends on where you are. I'm at the end of the line on

the coast. If you're here its because you want to be, or are horribly lost, and the only way back is the way you

came in. It makes all deliveries slow. Our PO is the worst, small town and very inefficent. One time it took 3

days to get an Express (overntight guaranteed) letter.

One of my major suppliers uses UPS, and they will

deliver in a pretty timely fashion, but I've had too much material trashed by them, and they will NOT pay a claim,

even if its obvious that it their fault. Every time I see one of their crushed boxes show up at my shop I cringe.

Fortunately that supplier has a very liberal policy when it comes to replacement parts.

    Another supplier uses

FedEx, never had a single problem with them, and they deliver on Saturdays

    BTW, FedEx Home used

to be RPS, until FedEx bought them. They had a pretty cool setup. Each driver was an independant and owned the

route, kind of like a franchise. Don't know if FedEx runs it the same way, but these guys are great, they've left

me their cell #s to call them if I wasn't there to take the delivery.

    The conclusion of the

    matter:

Sent Tammy an email, she sent me the tracking number, thanks!
Went to USPS tracking website and

    found:
7/7 Apparant delivery attempt and notice left, but I have no notice in my box.
    7/12 Another delivery

attempt but still I have no notice slip in my box.
Printed the website info to present to the PO tomorrow in

    person.

    Final evaluation: (tongue in cheek)
Bruce, if you ever send me anything by USPS again I will

personally fly to Eugene and cut the umbilical cord to your cute commuter car.

FedEx is great here in Eugene. My

dog can differentiate between the sound of the Fed Ex truck and the various other trucks driving down our street and

gets all excited. Why? The driver always has a doggy cookie for her. The UPS guy drives on my lawn. Don't

even get me started on that yellow van guy (see I've already forgotten the name of the company. whew!)

    Finally have it!

    Walked

up to the PO counter this morning and presented my online tracking evidence along with a sharp AHA!, and I meant it

    to sting.

Then ensued, in this order, puzzled look, assistants brought in, head scratching, supervisors brought

in, debriefings given, much scurrying to the back room, more head scratching (its a wonder these guys have hair),

and then the cutest little blonde walks out holding my package aloft grinning like the champion she was. Even the

impatient customers in the long queue cheered (seriously).

The Moral: patience and persistence pay off if cute

little blondes appear at the last minute waving plain-brown-envelopes full of mones to save the day.

    I walked out

a happy man, and chuckled all the way home.

Whew! Whew! (my message was "too

    Glad we're both relieved! The

alternative would've been seeing DrSmell for more counseling, and I'd quite frankly rather give you the available

funds, no matter how cute his receptionist is.

I just placed another order, qualified for free

shipping, and I put in the comments section to ship FedEx and to add the extra charges to my bill.

    Will

    this work?
Thanks again for such a great thing you have going.

    Greg,
I live in New Zealand and

most orders until a year ago would arrive here in 7-8 days. (usps airmail!)
This is why I continue to purchase from

love scent , even when an order was "lost in transit" and took a month to arrive, Bruce offered to resend it when I

enquired. These days I only purchase around every 6 months and don't spend a large amount but the after sales

service and the fact the boss replies in person keeps me coming back.
