I used to do great with jointed
rapalas of all colors. Haven't fished for some time, but I'm getting the itch..
I've been
doing some trout fishing the past few years, but am now thinking about bass fishing.
The problem I'm faced with
is the choice of lure to use. I've found that in trout fishing a few lures seem to be very effective.
I've had
good results trout fishing with Kastmasters (blue/silver,gold, and orange), little Cleo(red/gold), Panther
Martin(black w/yellow dots),Rapala(german brown) and syclops(gold, silver). Other lures that I've tried haven't
proved as effective as these.
Can any of you recommend tried and true bass lures?

I have always just used old
fasioned night crawlers...if your patient, they work just fine.Lures have always seemd to give sporatic results...but
nightcrawlers have always produced results for me
Not too savvy on Bass, but I've
noticed that a swirled pink spinner with black spots will provoke almost any fish to bite.
Have also had
great luck catching virtually any species of fish using a yellow jig head, with a light green soft-body "mister
twister-type" tail attached.
Phasers on stun; good luck, Kirk out.
I don't have much experience
with freshwater but seabass go for roe or pileworms.

Thank-you for the tips, guys. I
appreciate the feedback from all of you.
I went out yesterday and caught my first fish of the year, a nice
tasty little rainbow trout that was "stupid" enough to go for a syclops. Got it home and fried it right up. I'd
forgotten how delicious freshly caught fish tastes.
