2X daily and a Carnitine supplement (400mg L-Carnitine, 100mg Acetyl-L-Carnitine) 3X daily.

I think you might want to up the

dosage to 100mg a day, PHP. Research says that the "R-fraction Alpha Lipoic Acid" can be up to 9 times as effective

as the mixed Alpha Lipoic Acid, so you might want to look into this aspect as well.
