Didn't see it. When stuff
like this hits the news it usually indicates a remark taken out of context and twisted, like when Bush said Kerry
was disrespecting Poland. I don't like when either side does it. That would seem out of character for Rudy.
Did anyone
see/read about Rudy blaming the troops for not finding the WMDs? The man who praised the fire fighters and police
officers (our internal version of 'troops', if you will be so kind as to accept my analogy) during WTC recovery
blamed the troops when defending the President's actions in Iraq?
I haven't heard "passing the buck" like that
since Ashlee Simpson blamed her band on SNL!

Democrats jumped on former New
York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani
(news -
web sites), who has been campaigning with Bush, for saying the president was
not to blame for the missing explosives and pointing the finger at U.S. troops one day after Republicans said Kerry
was blaming the troops.
"No matter how you try and blame it on the president, the actual responsibility for it
really would be for the troops who were there. Did they search carefully enough, didn't they search carefully
enough?" Giuliani said on NBC's "Today" show. Kerry's running mate, Sen. John Edwards
(news -
[c
olor=#0000ff]web sites[/color]), blasted the comment and said "our men and women in uniform did their job.
George Bush didn't do his job."
And what was George Bush's
job? To stand at the border and inspect every vehicle being buried in the Syrian desert?
God help us if Kerry
gets his miracle. We won't have a military left to fight the next war, we won't have any way of tracking down Al
Qaida, and we won't have the money to pay for rebuilding the military after he has been booted out of office in
2008.
But we'll have plenty of material for the Tonight Show, Saturday Night Live, and Comedy Central to keep
audiences laughing (in between scandals) for years to come.
How will John Kerry win the war on terror? Maybe
he'll join the terrorists and tell everyone America made a big mistake.
Let's focus on just the
facts. John Kerry is already a terrorist. He wants nothing more than to elimenate the military and let Al
Qaeda go. On the other hand, gotta admire that "single minded," Bushian steely eyed focus on Bin Laden! He's been
watching him closely ever since Tora Bora a couple years ago. "Yep, there he is, Osama Bin Laden, in
Pakistan, the same place he was when he slipped across the border!" And Kerry wants to reverse all that Bushian
frugality and go Back to Clintonian big spending! And Kerry will never be a real man and take
responsiblity for his mistakes like Bush obviously is. He'll probably get blowjobs like Clinton, lie about
them, and then where will our country be? Yes and God help us! If Kerry gets elected God will no longer be
directing our foreign policy.

I think Rudy was putting the
responsibility on the troops for finding the WMDs as opposed to knowing they were there. I think his
position is that Bush knew they were there but the troops didn't find them.
Ashlee Simpson translation:
"I'm sorry! My troops started searching the wrong caves!"
I believe the "hoe-down" is the beautiful dance
that will cover this mistake.
...okay, so I've been criticizing Bush for a while. In his defense...and
to place the blame somewhere besides the troops...
Iraq is a big country. People who were born and raised in
Iraq probably know the landscape well. There is a lot of space to cover. People could have secret hiding
places anywhere for military storage (think Area 51...people had no idea if their own country had secret military
bases that tested things). Just like Bin Laden, you/weapons could hide in a cave somewhere where noone would find
you/them. Weapons don't even need food, so you could stash them there and never hear from them again ever, unlike
people that need food and communication with the outside world if you lead a large terrorist network.
Since
we're not proclaiming Iraq as a US territory, it'll never be our land and therefore we'd never have the ability
to truly examine every hole in that entire country.

We hung plenty of Nazis at Nuremburg because of that

We're presently prosecuting and convicting dozens of soldiers and civilian contractors for the Iraqi
prison scandal.
In the United States, you don't get away with blaming everything on the boss. When the eyes
are of the world are upon you, everyone takes part of the responsibility.
That is the difference between our
form of government -- a government BY the people -- and Saddam's form of government.
We all share the burden,
we all share the responsibility. We are all accountable.
That is why we do send corrupt police officers to
prison more often than any other country in the world.
Rumsfeld's policies have been repeatedly challenged. I
am sure that, when all is said and done, he will be faulted in ways people are not currently faulting him for.
Right now, it's too soon for us to know what is going on.
The fact that we are still free to ask questions, and
have a reasonable expectation of seeing those questions answered responsibly, shows that our system is still
working.
The jack-booted thugs aren't yet standing on every street corner.
Giuliani is another immoral
sleze ball in the right place at the right time to capitalize upon a national tragedy. Talk about body language, did

just fine.
I am sick of their crap.
