    You probably won't be close

enough to the judge for mones to matter.

Pay your fine in advance and

avoid the hassle of sitting there all day long, watching other people fail to beat the system.

    i don't mind paying a fine but

it's the points against my driving record that's a prob. plus i'm a young guy who drives fast and has gotten

tickets and into accidents before so my insurance will sky rocket.

It's kind of hard to be

sympathetic to your problem. Most of us have had our tickets and learned to slow down. It's cheaper and safer that

way. Not nearly as much fun but paying traffic tickets and high insurance isn't much fun either.

    Now you're

starting to undestand the only difference between an older person and a younger one. We older ones have made the

stupid mistakes you haven't had time to get to yet!!

You want to avoid -none and A1

altogether, but wear -rone, WAGG, -nol, and whatever else.

...and always drive carefully and safely. Many of

those mistakes are very destructive and can't ever be undone by time. You could hang out at the race track ---

those guys are always cautious drivers off the track.

    Okay, here is a possibly

useless alternative suggestion. I base it on something which happened a couple of years ago, before I started

learning about body language and pheromones. This is one of those "GOD IF I HAD ONLY KNOWN!" kind of stories.

Okay, I was in an accident about three years ago. Wasn't my fault, but the way my car ended up, the cop insisted

he had to give me a ticket along with two other drivers. Well, I was living in Texas at the time, but this will

apply in several other states. It turns out that you can take a defensive driving course something like once every

ten years and get a ticket cleared. You HAVE to arrange it with the court BEFORE you go to traffic court (call your

local court to see what the rules are).

The class lasts six hours. It's long, it's boring. A lot of people

opt to take it over the Internet.

    DON'T DO THAT!

Let me repeat myself: DON'T DO THAT!

    Why? Okay, here

    is the story.

I took the six-hour class. Signed up for a local "comedy club" version of the class. They

claimed they would make the six hours go faster with jokes. Well, the humor wasn't all that much. But the

Vietnamese girl who sat next to me -- WHOA! What a hottie!

She came into the room after most of us were seated.

There were only a few open seats left. There must have been 20-30 guys in there. The place was packed, standing

room only. So, any woman who walked into that room was instantly hit by a LOT of pheromones and had her choice of

    men to flirt with.

This girl came up to the front of the class and sat down next to me.

    In fact, she almost

sat ON me. Now, this was BEFORE I started using pheromones. I was wearing blue jeans, a golf shirt (maybe a

t-shirt), and running shoes. Nothing fancy.

She struck up a conversation with me before the class and during

the breaks. I sensed she was interested but I didn't feel like it would be appropriate to suggest anything (I

forget why -- I was probably too new to the area or something).

When it came time for lunch, the girl had been

sitting with her hip against mine for almost an hour. I mean, there was as much full physical contact between us as

she could manage to make. She would go out of her way to turn so her back would rub up against me. Her arms all

    but laid across mine.

At lunch, I asked a few people if they could recommend a cheap fast-food spot close by.

She recommended Burger King. I asked if she would be going there and she said, "No". I knew right there I had

    blown an opportunity.

Wasn't really looking for an opportunity, mind you. I was just there to get the class

out of the way. I should have suggested we have lunch together, so I could get to know her better. But I didn't.

And I regretted NOT taking that step.

So, the moral of the story: if you have a traffic ticket, USE it to your

advantage. If you are in a state that lets you take that dumb class, then find a "comedy club" class and wear your

best clothes and wear your pheromones and hope for the best.

The class will probably be hot, crowded, long, and

boring. Get there early and try to get a good seat. Let the women see you.

At the very least, you should get a

discount on your insurance AND you may get out of a ticket. At best, you'll meet Miss Right, or at least Miss

    Right Now.

That's not entirely true. Actually, most people just pay their fine...my dad always fights...and

he has won 4 out of 5 that I know of. Most police officers don't bother to show. The only caveat: wasted day off,

gas to go to the court and back, and my dad studies the topic thoroughly so he knows how to win his argument. If

you're not willing to do that, don't waste your time.

thanks for the help guys. i just

want to say that i'm not a bad driver. only 1 accident was deemed my fault by the cops. tickets are all about

getting revenue, they're not about safety at all. doing 85 in the fast lane with while other cars are doing 85 is

not dangerous. now cutting lanes back and forth all the time is different. if ticketing was about safety then radar

detectors would be illegal. if i was smart enough to buy a radar detector i would never had gotten a ticket.

    Having wallked away from

several front-end collisions, let me assure you that 85 MPH is more than enough to kill you. Don't assume the

tickets are all about revenues. They are not.

That said, if you go to court, be sure to concentrate on using

your body language to seem friendly and law-abiding before the judge.

And every time I went to court, hoping the

officer wouldn't show up, HE DID.

    Your mileage may vary.

Radar detectors are illegal... (in CA and many other states, at least)

    That said,

European vehicles do 100 easy, and they have less accidents than the US...you could attribute that to the roads or

to the fact that they're smarter than Americans...

A lot depends on the drivers.

Depending on where you are, road manners vary tremendously. Here in the Dallas area they have some of the worst

manners I've ever seen resulting in a greater percentage of the drivers being in accidents than other places with

far more traffic. Driving with the flow of traffic and not driving aggressively would help prevent a lot of bad

    wrecks.

i've been to cali this summer. the traffic is so heavy there, you can't even speed

and if u did, it would be unsafe.i agree with belgareth, i'm talking about doing 85 in the fast line with the flow

of traffic. if anybody's been to the jersey turnpike guys in their luxury sports car regulary do 100+ on a sunday

morning with empty road. it's not really about the speed but more about the skill of the driver. and yeah europeans

are smarter than americans, that also helps.

Last I heard Radar detectors are legal in CA. You won't be safe from laser

with a radar detector. You'll need a jammer.

yeah i've read about that too.

right now laser jammers are legal, but radar jammers are illegal. i also read that most places can't afford laser

    so they still use radar.

    You can use radar detectors

though. The Escort or the bel combo would be nice. Laser signal is easily disrupted, so laser jammers are good.

They are probably illegial in some places but it's just disrupting light.

    I believe I misspoke earlier.

Radar detectors are useless in CA. After all, radar is not used in CA to catch people speeding. My

mistake. I believe what I was thinking about was that you've better not be caught by a cop with a radar detector

    because they don't appreciate it.

    BZZZZZT!!
Yes radar is used in California. In fact, until last year

the CHP wasn't allowed to use radar to catch speeders on the freeways, that changed last year and now thay do use

it. The non freeway enforcement has used it for years! They also use aircraft patrols. They just have to post "Radar

enforced" and/or "Enforced by Aircraft" signs.
