    Default Customer Service logs

    visit-red-300x50PNG
    These phone support

logs have become legends. I wonder if any of them are really true. I suppose at the very least stuff like this

must happen every now and then....

Tech Support: Hello, Hewlett Packard tech support

    Customer: My

    deskjet printer doesn't work

    TS: What model is it?

    Cust: It's a Hewlet Packard

    TS: Yes, I

know that. What is the model number?

    Cust: I don't know.

TS: Well, is it black and white or

    color?

    Cust: It's sort of beige

To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one's family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one's own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.

Before starting my business I ran a medium size tech support department for

about 10 years. Before that, I was one of the second tier engineers for about 8 years; that's the ones the line

techs go to when they put you on hold. Many of the stories are true and frankly, some of the worst ones never got

published. We used to run a little online group talking about the dumb things customers say and do. It's hard to

    believe some of them.
To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.

    Here's a really good archive

of all sorts of funny and silly tech support related clips, as well as some urban legends.

    Be warned, some of

these might be offensive to the non-computer

    savvy.
