I highly doubt any Greek would wear anything with the

first two in it, since 'skato' is the Greek word for 'shit".

    :P
Skatole and Idole are one of the main chemicals in feces, Idole has been used for ages in the

    perfume industry.

Alpha, Delta and Beta are used to define chemicals that are the same but with a slightly

different composition. Androstenol used in almost all of the products on this site is the "Alpha" version. I've

also seen Beta sold somewhere on this site....

    Indole and skatole are already

used in perfuming. Indole is in poop too.

Yeh, I'm aware of the use of

such substances, and their esters. I'm just referring to a reaction some cultures might get from products that

'are guaranteed to attract, using a powerful mix of skatole'. Not everyone can think beyond the name, into

    molecules with aromatic rings.
    Minor off-topic note anyway.

I don't feel like arguing over

a frivolous posts . People don't just sell 99.99% USP grade indole or skatole and market it as attractant,

that would be like bagging dog poo and selling it. I (think) it's usually added to a fragrance for a more "musky"

    smell.

Smelly things are what usually what attracts the opposite sex (couplins, A-none, A-nol, A-rone ect...).

Look at NPA/TE,it has the most repugnant smell than almost all of the products sold here, but it is known for

triggering more sexual reactions than all the products here.

    pregna-4,20-diene-3,6-dione

    http:/

    /www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=pubmed&dopt=Abstract&li st_uids=9699878

    This

article was referenced in one of the PDF's that Cpt. posted in the research section. It was from the Erox/Pherin

    guys.

Sometimes I think we are too critical of those guys. Yes, they have plans of making money from this stuff.

But they publish in peer-reviwed articles, make some of thier info available to the public. How many journal

articles do you see from major corporations like lucent or IBM?

    Nice find einstein! You should

add it to the research section, or ask a mod to. This is relevant to the "VNO debate thing."

So it seems they are saying

pregna-4,20-diene-3,6-dione is a pheromone and that it basically will decrease male horniness and that it will have

    no effect on women.

Sounds pretty useless for our purposes

    Not entirely useless. There was

a guy a while back looking for a mone to make his girlfriend less attractive to other guys.

    Looks like it could

be good for meditation. Slower breathing and heartbeat, more alpha waves.
