Folks,
This section of the board is reserved for references to research studies, papers, articles, patents, and
other pertinent documents that relate to Pheromones.
If posting a reference here please post only that article or
abstract and any links that pertain directly to it.
You may then copy and paste the reference to one of the
discussion forums or request that a board moderator or admin do this for you.
A link will be inserted in the
post on this forum to direct readers to the forum in which the discussion of the topic is taking place.
Please
check carefully to see that what you're posting here has not already been included here.
The idea is to have
a one-stop forum where all the relevent studies to date can appear. Replies to threads in this forum will be moved
or deleted. Replies should be posted in the linked copy of the thread that appears in the appropriate discussion
forum.
This is something of an experiment. Let's see how well we can make it work.
Thank You!

Very nice
It would be
usefull to have the link to the original article where possible.
CptK,
When they're not included
in the initial post, I'll happily insert any links to the originally referenced item if they're given to me.
Oscar
I found the PubMed links for
the two link-less posts so I could put them in the pherolibrary.
They are:
http:
//www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=146748 33&dopt=Abstract - Physical
proof that pheromones work at the system level of humans.
and
http:
//www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=121952 29&dopt=Abstract - Effects of
putative male pheromones on female ratings of male attractiveness: influence of oral contraceptives and the
menstrual cycle.
CptK,
Thanks for those
links. I inserted them right at the top of the posts and intentionally left them in the "http" format so that the
source would be clear at a glance.
Oscar
Not a problem Oscar
I
think this forum is a very cool idea. I am thinking of implimenting something similar for the pherolibrary: Have
each link lead to an abstract of the article with a link to a relevant forum thread, and then have a link to the
full version.
This was a great idea, Oscar!
I hope this becomes one of the most prominent sources of pheromone research on the internet. Let's all chip in to
make it so!

I have links on
the Scientific Evidence page of my website that include just about everything written in journals, or presented at
conferences--when it pertains to pheromones, olfaction, hormone responses... Well, take a look and see! I continue
to try to update the site at least every two to three months--more frequently when very important news becomes
available. Today a report came out on the importance of learning in the response of ewes to male odor. Will post the
link soon on my site. KEY ISSUE: Lavendar odor activated luteinizing hormone (LH) secretion only in ewes previously
exposed to scented males.
