    I think a lot of

folks on this site will want to see this movie. I got it from NetFlix.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0396171/

But, don't read too far into this link as you might

get the plot ending and ruin the viewing experience. It's a very good movie, about 2 hours and a half long. Please

    enjoy!!!

Saw "Stardust" with my 11 y/0

    daughter and her buddy.

Not a bad movie at all! While definitely appealing to the "tween" girl audience, I

got into it and enjoyed the plot and the humor, both sophisticated and not.

The movie also did not have

anything I thought was morally a bad lession for kids, like so many Hollywood movies have these days.

If you like a good drama check out

"In my fathers den" , it's an adaptation of a classic new zealand novel. No flashy effects , just a good story that

will surprise you. It's my pick for one of the best kiwi films made in a long

    time.

Anyone see Into The Wild yet?

    I

was expecting McCandless to be lionized to the point of nausea, but Penn somehow managed to keep his love affair

with the guy in check. For the most part.

    Great score, too.

    We watched Shattered this

weekend. It's a pretty good movie, the ending is great.

I saw the movie "Second Hand

Lions" this past weekend. I'd never heard of it at all, and when my Dad told me about it I had to see it... he has

    the DVD.

Robert Duvall and Michael Caine are just great in this movie, and the kid who plays the kid is very

    good.

Its one of those movies that makes you pull away from life and think about simple but important things.

And its very funny. Highly recommended, and a good family movie.

Second Hand Lions was great; seen it

a few times I think. If you like Michael Caine, check out "The Man Who Would be King." The script comes from a

    Kipling short story I think.

Just watched Bucket List; Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. Great flick. My

whole family watched it, nine year old and all, not a dry eye in the house.

    Half way through "John

    Adams."

Not too bad! Ben Franklin is a real card!

However, it has a bi too much information about the

future president's love life with Abigail. Guess it has to have a bit of chick flick appeal too.

It was an HBO miniseries, aired earlier this

year, based on the David McCullough biography. Paul Giamatti (Adams), Laura Linney, Tom Wilkinson, David Morse,

Stephen Dillane. Did the book justice. Wilkinson does make quite a Franklin!

    Just rented Definitely,

    maybe
. A romantic comedy with a lot of twists and turns. Enjoyed it.

    Planning on seeing Tropic

    Thunder
with a couple of friends tomorrow. Won 54 free movie tickets (one movie a week for a year) about a

month ago. Guess I'm going to be seeing a lot of movies this year.

    I'm

going to see Tropic Thunder tonight!

Saw Longshot on Sunday, and even though I went out of boredom and

I'm not an Ice Cube fan, it was better than I thought. It will make my DVD collection once it's out.

    What did you think of

It had its moments, and I did laugh out, but I could have waited to rent the DVD.

    Went to see Bankock

Dangerous ... hated it! Cage is getting too old with that wig/weave on his head not covering that forehead.

    I

know people have different taste, but ... has anyone seen FRACTURE with Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling, and

MICHAEL CLAYTON with George Clooney? I thought they were a lot better than I had expected. Fracture was

    OUTSTANDING!

Waiting for the DVD release of Jekyll on the 18th!
