Oh...and welcome to the forum. :welcome:
I know you are a new
user so probably are not aware of the rules here. Please do not offer to sell anything on this forum. This is a
discussion forum and it defeats the purpose when we allow...
That's one of my favorite
flavors too. A lot of ladies have complimented me on it and if they like it, it means the mones I might be wearing
are also being inhaled.
Most of the Aloeswood products
they sell are attars, which are mixes with other EOs. The only pure Oud they sell is $29 for a very small bottle and
it is from plantation grown trees. It is...
You can say where you got it
from. No problem. The only rule about it is no links to potentially competitive sites or sites where you are earning
money from it.
I guess it is a matter of
personal chemistry or something. I get compliments all the time about Aloeswood scent. Perhaps it's the particular
product you bought? I only buy good quality from...
I'm really fond of the Iran Jaya myself. For me personally
the darker ones seem to last longer and have far more complex scents.
Your nose became accustomed to
the scent is all that happened. An attar is not going to be as strong as the pure oil but it will still last on you
for many hours. The scent of the base...
I bought some 25 year old royal
Oud from a guy a while back. It was different from the greener, fresh ouds I have used. More complex and longer
lasting. I wouldn't say it was better but it...
Has anyone besides me tried the
Iran Jaya or however its spelled? It is deep and complex, like the royal Oud.
Have you tried his ebay
store?
Ham Furl is a good guy. I'm
glad you two were able to get together for your mutual benefit.
The Yemeni honey really does that? I'll have to
order some. Thanks for the information.
It's Belgareth and you are
very welcome.
It's the same guy we've talked about before, Ham Furl. He lists it on his EBay store. The
chinese musk is far better than the other, IMO.
Ham furl is a contact I buy most of my Oud from. He sells a wide
variety of good quality products in smaller quantities. He also has an Ebay store: QT's Store. Do a search on Ebay
for...
I've been buying musk from
another guy and using it with Oud. Makes a nice combo.
I'm the last person to ask for
information about scenting notes, being very poor at describing them. QT will give you far better information than I
can. I do agree about the Assam Organic,...
Glad you like it. Oud isn't to
everybody's taste. Look back through the thread, there is a link for Ham Furl. He's a good resource for a wide
variety at decent prices. Good guy to deal with.
Many bottles come with a little
plastic dipstick. You get a little oil on the stick and wipe it on your skin.
A good question
but I doubt my answer is going to satisfy you. Perhaps, like with cooking and a few other things I'm involved in,
I'm a snob about it. Commercial scents have never appealed to...
I'd wear the Indian. But,
<Insert a Mobely disclaimer here> Since I do not do clubs. Personally, I think Aloeswood and mones and all the
others are best for less frenetic environments. In any...
Sorry I didn't get back
sooner. Had to go someplace suddenly. I'm glad you are getting good results and hope you enjoy the stuff as much as
I do.
Instead I'll generalize
because I haven't kept track of all the flavors very well.
First, you're very right that you get what you pay
for. I'd love to get hold of some of that $10,000 per...
That's one of the great things
about Oud, it's unique for everybodyand changes with our skin chemistry. Don't judge it by the smell in the bottle
or the first few minutes on your skin.
Oh yes. It is very nice. I've
only used about 1/4 of the bottle but am considering ordering more before it runs out.
