Honestly, I never understood that. Logically, one would question how things that

result from the end of sex (semen) attract women. Now, obviously the female part is more prior, during, and

at the end of sex...but for men...why would semen attract women? Isn't it the result of having attracted a woman? I

don't see how it's evolutionarily (yes, that is a word...I checked Word) sound logic.

I remember someone said

that rubbing natural perspiration from their groin on their neck attracted women. That makes sense because you're

secreting -mones in that region to attract women. However, I am unsure why semen would contain attractive chemicals.

I don't know the content in it, but I don't think there are any -mones...

Now, one could reason that by

associating that fragrance with sex, it could get people into that frame of mind and associate you with sex. I'd

consider that a long shot, though...

...all that said, I'm not doing that to attract women! I'll take a

dashing smile and -mones over rubbing excretion and Vodka on myself...

Since you bring it up:

It's traditional to produce the sperm (more often

Okay guys, gross story time, but

completely true. Really wasn't worth telling, but it fits this thread.

I got bored this summer, and after

reading about how much rone we piss away every day I decided I was gonna try and keep some. :think: I did some

research about how real scientists isolate steroids from urine.

Many of the steroids in urine are conjugated.

This changes the polarity, and makes it a little easier for the body to get rid of. First thing the labs do is

hydrolysis, to break the cojugate, either with enzymes or by heating with acid. Then they put the solution through

a sep-pak, basically a carbon filter. The steroids stick in the carbon. They wash the carbon with water, get rid

of all water-soouble compunds. Then they extract the steroids with ethanol or some other organic solvent, then let

the solvent evaporate, leaving just the steroids.

Now I'm cheap. And I don't have lots of good chemicals, or

sep-paks, ect. I decided to do this all with walmart stuff.
I don't have acids or enzymes, so I just skipped the

hydrolysis step. Rat urine pheromones seem to work straight from the source, why not humans? I put a bunch of

aquarium filter carbon in a plastic bottle, and pissed in it. Let it set overnight till the liquid turned clear.

Then I dumped out the liquid (left the carbon in the bottle) , rinsed with clean water several times. Then I put

some everclear into the bottle, and let that sit overnight. Poured the alcohol (filtered through a paper towel)

into a glass bowl, and let it set for a few weeks to evaporate.
End result, about a teaspoon of thick pale

transparent yellow syrup. It smells like old, stale urine. Useless. :frustrate:
And no, I never tried putting it

on myself.

...interesting experiment, even if a little gross. Why did you conclude it was useless??If you're

going to go that far, why bail at the last moment? ;) What you'd want to do is then dilute that again, say in

jojoba or everclear. Often things that smell terrible in high concentration work in small concentrations. Or mix in

some sandalwood or benzoin to control the smell. I'd say being sure to start with good quality first of the morning

urine would be important too, after having eaten a good diet the previous day and feeling healthy and rested.



Caution: Another gross story ahead! Skip if susceptible to gross outs. I hate to say this but one night several

years ago I had to urinate so bad I used a bush. I had trouble holding my coat out of the way and some got on it. I

cleaned the coat as well as I could, but not that well. Women were very flirty that night. I haven't repeated the

"experiment." I do know of a perfuming analog pheromone that smells very much like urine, way moreso than -none.

Random thought:

One could

argue that the chemicals in urine are part of "marking the territory" (dogs are the obvious example)...if -rone is

the pheromone in urine, then one may conjecture part of -rone's function, correct?

I think that is why it is known as

territorial.
