Mystic tan or airbrushed tans are
really popular now. I have been using the airbrush solution and doing it myself. Very easy.

Yes, it is a liquid self
tanner. You can walk into a booth and it sprays you all over. Another option is to have a person airbrush it on.
I thought you live in the
south? Why bother? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I\'m one of
those fair-skinned lightweights. But in addition to my sparkling personality, my company is much sought-after in the
summer because everyone around me looks so much darker next to my pale skin.

This is my newest and
favorite sunless tanning trick. I buy a dark sunless tanner or use a dark airbrush solution and pour some of it into
a pump bottle with regular body lotion (I am currently using Jergens). I use the lotion as I would body lotion when
I get out of the shower. It gives the most gradual, realistic, fool proof color.

Just buy a dark sunless tanning lotion and mix it with a body lotion.
Apply it as you would a regular body lotion. Apply it everyday until you get to your desired color and then just use
it every few days to maintain your tan. It is fool proof because if you miss a spot you will get it the next day,
and because the color is so gradual, mistakes really won\'t be obvious.

well my skin can at times
just appear very flat and dull, and not vibrant and healthy, sometimes its pale, sometimes even slightly a yellowish
colour which I hate.
I heard that canthaxanthin will make the skin appear \"redder\". I was wondering if anyone
had had experience with this stuff. Its often found in tanning pills.
With a tan, my skin appears redder and
browner, much nicer. But there\'s not much sun here /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

What you want is a better complexion and more bloodcirculation
for your skin. Also with or without direct sunlight you can manage to improve your teint. To get that simply expose
your skin to more daylight, even indoors. The emu oil is great for skin texture btw as well as complexion. Plus it
nourishes the skin and makes it nice and soft /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Those pills may
very well lead to a reddish skin tone. The thing is that you could end up looking like a flamingo. A flamingo\'s
coloration can vary from pale pink, to crimson to vermillion. It\'s a result of a diet high in alpha and beta
carotenoids, including canthaxanthin. Don\'t know how long it would take for your skin to change color...it takes
about 2 years for an adult flamingo to reach full coloration. Do you really wanna look like a flamingo?
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif We could call you Pico The Pink Flamingo.

And if you
didn\'t like the color--how long would it take you to change back???
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
not sure, but I dont
think it takes long.
I won\'t be taking them! I never seriously considered them, but I wanted to know if anyone
had tried them, anyone?
also, what about eating
tons of tomatoes? I know that too many carrots can turn someone\'s skin orange, but what about tomatoes?
read
this:
Myth: Too many carrots will turn skin orange.
Fact: It can happen, but you would have to eat a lot, said
Chris Rosenbloom, chair of the nutrition department at Georgia State University. In fact, you would probably have to
start chugging carrot juice to get that orange glow. The phenomenon is called hypercarotenemia and the orange tint
shows up mostly in the palms of the hands. Never fear, Rosenbloom said. This happens because the body does not use
all of the beta-carotene from carrots and the resulting skin discoloration is harmless.

It happens to babies
that eat a lot of pre-package baby foods. Most of them are primarily carrot.

so, can anyone
confirm that tanning pills work or not?
I thought there was scientific backing so I must be mistaken. I heard
there\'s an active ingredient that encourages Melanin production. Haven\'t heard anything about supplements.
So I did a search on wok.mimas.ac.uk but didn\'t find much. Anyone know the name of the active
ingredient?
The tanning pills here in the UK are expensive @ 60p a day in £40 boxes from Boots. Really want to be
sure they work eh?
I\'m thinking of taking them to not stand out quite so much in my girlfriends country.

That pill/injection is not on
the market yet. It has been tested for years and results are looking very good. I\'ll look for the company that is
making the stuff in a second. The tanning pills that are out on the market now have nothing to do with what you are
talking about.

I have never used it, but I know that it contains both dha and erythulose
(the active ingredients that \"tans\" the skin). Many tanning creams use either or. This one uses both. You should
give it a try, but if you do, please tell me BEFORE you apply it so I can give you some much needed tips.
