good. I don\'t think you are going to want to mix anything with a fragrance in with this. It is a complex and

well thought out blend of a zillion components all on its own. I would get to know it \"as is\" for quite a while

before messing around with it.

he\'s on schedule for the April 1st release.
Maybe if Bruce was to do a pre-order thing and Tammy performs her

usual magic (that we all SO take for granted until we order from some other web merchant), AND the P.O does it\'s

thing expeditiously (gulp!), you COULD conceivably have it by the 3rd.
But I don\'t like making promises that

other people have to live up to.

A few guys have PM\'d me looking for more info and this is what I told

told what was in it. What is the idea behind this latest product? Is it just a really good cover scent and nothing

I\'ve got a

call in to try to answer some of the many good questions that I\'ve seen posted here, but I\'m still waiting for

a response.
So I don\'t know how much it will cost, whether there will be pre-orders, what the pheromone content

is, whether it\'s stronger than AE, or what size bottle it will be.
As soon as I know, you\'ll know

too.

What I do know:

It\'s a multi-phero formula incorporated into a very fine fragrance that has been well

over a year in the making. (I first got wind of it in January 2003.) It contains approximately 150 perfumery grade

ingredients of the highest quality available anywhere.

The scent is wonderful. It has an incredible depth

without being overpowering. There\'s a balance that keeps me from being able to single out any one particular

scent, and I\'ve even been told what some of them are. However it is by no means a jumble, but rather a symphony

of fragrance notes. I would buy it just as a fragrance even if it had no pheromones, and it will undoubtedly replace

my Green Irish Tweed as my favorite scent!

I\'ve gotten positive reviews from everyone who\'s smelled it:

\"Sexy\", \"Wonderful!\", \"Yummy!\", and even \"F***able!\" (ok, that was from the SO, but then how does

It has

all of the magical, mystical ingredients of the Amouage line and then some, but it isn\'t a feminine scent (as was

always MY complaint about Amouage, even their men\'s stuff).

While the focus of the formula was based primarily

on perfumery concepts, (as well as a healthy disregard for thinking \"inside the box\") many components that I

believe are more closely associated with aromatherapy are in there too.
I\'m not sure that you mightn\'t

There is a feeling of

(for lack of a better term) well-being that comes over me when I wear it, and presumably on those around me also.

I received a very small vial of a concentrated version of the product about 10 days ago. I had to mix an equal

part of Everclear into it, then (supposedly) allow it to steep a day, then add another 2 parts of purified water to

it. The thing was, that it smelled SO good after just adding the Everclear that I actually mixed a couple of drops

of that with 2 drops of water in my hand and applied it right then and there. I was instantly hooked!
I did however

do the right thing with the rest of the vial following the perfumer\'s instructions implicitly. Right now I have a

one dram vial that is a little less than half full and I\'ve been rationing it as though it were the last

remaining drops from the fountain of youth!

Sounds very intriguing.

Especially about it being aroma therapeutic. It sounds like pheros may not be ingredients so perhaps none should be

added after experimenting if at clubs and such.

Im not

too sure myself, maybe he didn\'t disclose all the information regarding it yet. Also, there is the possibility

that by pheromones they ment that it is going to be loaded with organic materials, such as deer musk, which are said

to contain pheromones. Either way, I don\'t think that Bruce would hype it up they way that he did if he felt that

it was not worth the attention.

reasonable questions. Thanks for helping focus me on what to talk about.

Whereas many products claim to smell

sexual or \"erotic\", but don\'t; I think this one actually smells sexual and erotic! It\'s basically a

perfuming approach. So the whole smell, per se, is supposed to be an aphrodisiac; and the whole smell was

designed to be pheromonic (rejecting the dubious \"VNO activator only\" definition of pheromones, which can indeed

work through conscious and unconscious smell, as research shows), as opposed to just containing pheromones x, y and

z. Does it contain pheromones to help it get there? Yes. Pheros does contain pheromones. Most of them are

numerous things from perfuming practice that are not available at love-scent. But it contains very small amounts of

most all of the ones that are available at love scent too, just to make the musky smell more \"human\"; and

to round the effect out. I was building something brick by brick, but the 150 or so bricks weren\'t the point,

just as, say, -none content isn\'t the point.

But having said that, the product is not designed to

provide you what you can already get here. It is designed to give you things and a holistic effect you could not

otherwise get! So I am not trying to replace Edge, p10 or PI; but am trying to contribute to your overall

\"arsenal\", based on the things I know and have access to. I am taking an approach few others have taken, to fit

into the overall picture we have painted together in the forum. Though the names of all the ingredients, and

amounts, will not be listed; I will be sure to tell folks enough information so that they can use the product

correctly and effectively with their favorite pheromone regimen.

This natural product is a very different

kettle of fish. \"Holistic\" is an important concept to keep in mind for understanding it. I hope its uniqueness

Preliminary testing

suggests a hard to define \"comfort, intimacy/familiarity/lower boundaries\" effect, a horniness effect, a social

effect, a general attraction effect, a relaxation effect (self and others), and a \"feeling of well being\" effect

(self and others). Some effects seem to cross gender boundaries. These effects are consistent with the design of the

product, which is complex in its scope. There may be more effects as well, and I have no idea how many will get

which effects. It should vary with individuals\' body chemistries. I don\'t know what the ultimate verdict will

be. We\'re dealing with a complex natural formula. Perhaps Oscar, Whitehall, and Bruce (senior forum members and

beta testers of a preliminary version, which has since been tweaked for the better) can add more to the picture. No

cologne works for everyone, but I am betting that, for how unique this one is, it will probably work for more of a

variety of people than one would think; in part due to its naturalness, and in part due to my experience showing it

to people. What will vary more is the amount that works for different people. I use more than most who have tried

it, but I\'m a bit of a freak about smells! Of course, I have my \"fringers\" crossed just like everyone

else.

As far as just liking the product, I have so far been impressed by the high percentage of women that

like the smell a lot. Some seem to be even sort of \"fixated\" on it. For example, I tested it at a party

recently, and one woman grabbed the bottle and sat smelling it off and on for a full hour, raving that it made her

feel good. Oscar seems to have had a similar experience or two. I have also noticed it smells good on many women

too, and that some women (a good % of those who smelled it, even) have expressed interest in owning it for

themselves, even though it was designed for men.

really great product, for a long time now I have been looking for a great smelling cologne that everyone doesnt have

(I currently own Aqua Di Gio, along with a million other people /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

). I am actually very glad that you didn\'t add the usual mones into the mix, because it would make it very hard

to customize to your body chemistry if you would have. I think that this will probably help to balance your overall

pheromone levels and most likely enhance the hits that you get using pheromones. I for one am looking foward very

much to trying it. Also, as a plus, it is bound to last much longer then synthetic colognes since it is organic.

consideration: Some of you may want to get in on this as well. Especially if you have boyfriends, (remember,

it\'s Spring! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif ), are bisexual or lesbian, or tend to favor a

unisex approach to scents. The -none and -rone levels aren\'t high enough to preclude a woman wearing it, and

there\'s even a tiny bit (not enough to be smellable) of LaCroy/w and EW mones in there, and a ton of unisex mones

(some of which your skin converts to sex-specific); along with the numerous men\'s mones! So there\'s no

biochemical reason why women couldn\'t wear it. Oscar also said something to me in a PM about thinking the scent,

though it definitely isn\'t femine smelling, could be unisex.

Suprisingly, the best I\'ve ever smelled

Pheros on a person was on this one woman! But I don\'t know how to judge that experience, since I just love

how women smell and often want to eat (or lap) all their smell off of them!

In any case, I would enjoy

hearing from the fairer sex. I definitely have had interest from women here in Portland -- remember my anecdote

about the woman who was smelling it straight out of the bottle for an hour!

hope it gets here in time, the party is Sat night and I think Fedex delivers on Saturdays so I\'ll have at least

one days grace. This particular party will have about 200 couples there and it\'s mainly a dance venue where you

either meet up with old friends or try to meet some new friends!! We like meeting new ones - the reason we swing in

the first place and we\'ll be competing with everyone else so any edge is a good thing. The main thing is though

If it were me, I\'d for sure order now; just because of the

reusable bottles, which are absolutely great for making mixes and for carrying around! All you have to do is buy

#3 corks (which are like a nickel) when the originals wear out. These bottles rule, IMHO.

One thing

I\'m glad I can say about this product is that I\'d definitely personally buy it on an ongoing basis if I

hadn\'t made it. It just fills a niche nothing else fills. I think of it as the most basic cover scent to have, as

the unique ingredients should really enhance the use of previously available pheromones. This stuff can be used in

your hair, on your face as an aftershave, as a body-odorant, and even in your armpits and crotch to enhance your own

\"personal yummy smells\". Most perfumers would cringe at the thought of \"disrespecting their

creations\" in this way (e.g., smearing it on their butts!), as perfume is \"supposed\" to smell like the perfume

and not the body it\'s on; but this stuff is a natural product, and is designed to synergistically interact

with your individual body chemistry. There is nothing sacrosanct about the smell as it first comes from the bottle,

in my book. That is just the beginning smell.

A note on the care of

the bottles:

You want to store them on their side, if you planning on moving them from your dresser or

wherever, just like you would with bottle of wine. That is what the nice, horizontal boxes are for!

Why?

Because the cork swells up with liquid to make a tight seal that way. So this means you have no reason to keep them

upright, which makes the bottle great for chucking into a pocket.

I would be personally very bummed if Oscar missed

out. A lot of people have to work, Oscar among them. So I wouldn\'t assume anything.

I also picked up a refresher on NPA and for $12 couldn\'t

turn down a used TE/w. I only wish wacky wednesday had been posted so I could have gotten that shipped at the same

time too if I wanted it.

Chomping at

the bit all day at work and having to use restraint on the 25 mile drive home, I just ordered my bottle a half hour

ago. As soon as I got in the house and got online.

I don\'t fault anyone for ordering two, I almost did. But

I\'ve been using the credit cards too freely lately.

My packrat, um, I mean collector mind wanted to keep one

bottle with the seal unbroken. A more rational mind broke through and realized that I\'ll end up wanting to open

it if it lives up to half the hype.

My only concern now, besides missing out on the first 100, is that I\'ll

like it too much and will be sad when the run of regular bottles is sold out completely.

Never the

same as this batch, it is impossible to reproduce according to what the doc said.

Im hoping that they will

release it in 100 bottle batches maybe once a week, so I can have time to save up and buy big to stock up

were 19 bottles left. So I hope all of you who want the limited release edition will get in under the wire! I\'m

glad we decided to limit the first offering to forum people. I thought I\'d have a little down time after shipping

grateful for the interest. I was kind of hoping to find more of the original bottles, but no luck so far. So if

anyone happens to know anything about those bottles (pictured in the link -- someone in bottling told me he thought

appreciate your concern that I might not get a bottle on the first round as I may have been working, but as a happy

coincidence I had taken Wednesday off in anticipation that the pre-orders for PHEROS might begin on the 31st, and

they did!
I had my order confirmation within 12 minutes of Bruce posting the link, and I got my shipping

confirmation today!
There was NO WAY I was going to miss out on the first round of bottles!

I\'m still

stretching out that little sample you sent me. It doesn\'t look like it will make it through the weekend though,

so I hope I can get my order by Saturday. I\'ve been lucky enough to get stuff from Hotchkiss in two days in the

past, and if there was EVER a time for the USPS to be on the ball for me this is it! C\'mon Mr. ZIP!

Hey guys,

A lot of

you are PM\'ing me about Pheros, which I don\'t mind at all. It\'s all good. But if you have questions that

others might like to know about too, I\'d prefer you post the question in this or the \"story\" thread, so

everyone can benefit.

Regarding dosage, I\'d say 2-10 dabs is the range, depending on preference. A rule of

thumb is that one dab covers two application points (e.g., 2 wrists). One full dab for chest is good, though.

It\'s good to clean your hands before dabbing, so you don\'t contaminate the product, but don\'t get neurotic

about it. You can apply it anywhere. I often use a little on my face, due to the well-being effect I get from it. If

it starts to smell too strong, or too nutty, you\'ve used too much.

Doc,

I enjoyed using

PHEROS on my face for a while, but I\'ve limited my using it that way for two reasons:
1. By being able to

smell it constantly I think my nose was adjusting to it, and consequently I was taking the scent for granted. If I

were to sniff an application point like my wrist after wearing some on my face for a while I wouldn\'t get to

really appreciate the fragrance of the stuff as well as I would if I had not applied any to my face.
2. The

majority of times that I\'ve worn it out were partying sorties, and I tend to drink and smoke a number of things

that enhance my \"feeling of well-being\", so adding one more only seemed to increase the chances of putting me

over the top. Some \"feeling enhancers\" seem to geometrically increase the effects of alcohol, and while I cannot

say for certain that this stuff does, I\'ll just play it safe and apply it accordingly, primarily for its

attractant properties only, when I\'m drinking. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I\'ve

gotten accustomed to putting a pretty healthy dab on the back of one of my hands for self-sniffing purposes. You

WILL want to give the stuff a sniff now and then. It just DRAWS your nose to it! You WILL NOT be able to resist! At

least I can\'t!

The reason that I put it on the back of my hand is that a guy cannot keep sniffing his

wrist without looking queer. And good luck sniffing your neck! However, you CAN smell the BACK of your hand, then

continue into a motion to wipe the froth from your grog off your moustaches. (Try a dry run.) Yes, very manly

indeed!

I\'ve used between 6 and 10 dabs of the stuff whenever I\'ve road-tested it. On the occassions

that I was covering something like TE or NPA I\'d go up around 10 dabs.
When using less stinky stuff like CS

Nol, or AFA, or Old, Old AE, OR just running with PHEROS solo, I used around 6 dabs.
With TE/s I guess I

probably used about 8.

I surely couldn\'t have been using very BIG dabs or I probably wouldn\'t have any

left. The bottle I was dabbing from is a 1 dram clear cylindrical vial like the ones that Attar Bazaar oils come in.

The opening is probably between 1/4 and 3/8 inch in diameter. I started with the bottle between 1/2 and 2/3 full,

that\'s somewhere around 2 to 2.3 mL, and it\'s lasted me over 3 weeks!

I actually got a pretty good

routine going before long. I never used the stuff as an \"approach\" per se, but after chatting up a girl on the

usual pretexts for a bit I\'d say, \"Hey, I\'ve got this very cool new cologne I\'d like you to check out.

Actually it isn\'t really \"new\" because it\'s not even out yet!\" I\'d pull out my little vial and put a

fresh swipe below my ear and invite her to sniff. \"You\'re probably one of maybe only a dozen or so women

who\'s smelled this!\", I\'d say, \"There\'s only four guys in the world who\'ve got this stuff and this

little bottle here is the only one east of the Rockies. Whaddya think?\"

Of course as she was sniffing MY

neck, I was close enough to avail myself of her scent too, so I\'d always compliment it and ask what she was

wearing (even if I knew! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif )

Many came back for seconds and

thirds, and I know from their reactions that when I see them again they\'re gonna want another sniff.

Now

that I think of it, that routine was too good to give up. Since they\'ll never know the better, I think I\'ll

just fictionally \"push back the release date\" another month!!

AFA

was probably the best thing that I used in concert with PHEROS. Having virtually no scent of its own it didn\'t

interfere with the fragrance at all. CS Nol was similarly non-intrusive, but I always like to add some A-None. The

Sandalwood in TE/s seemed to blend nicely with the stuff, but plain TE and NPA were a bit more challenging to cover.

Don\'t get me wrong, the stuff can and will cover the stinky pheros quite handily, but I had such a small quantity

of the stuff that conservation became my \"prime directive\".

The only other thing with an added fragrance

besides TE/s that I tried with PHEROS, or would recommend trying with it would be old AE. I\'ve got both versions

of the old AE, the earlier being a bit more organic smelling and perhaps just a tiny bit more fragrant, but the

notes it contains are totally compatible with PHEROS. Having not tried my other AE with it, I can\'t say with any

real certainty, but I would imagine it would be pretty compatible as well.

I figure that by the time

I\'ve finished this epic some guys will be posting that they\'ve received their orders via FedEx.
