I\'m wondering what
you think are jewelry essentials. Of course a nice watch is. What is your second choice? Ring, necklace,
bracelet?
I\'m looking at purchasing a cool ring as an attention-getter when going out. Any opinions from
both men and women greatly appreciated.
P.S> I meant for this to go into open forum. Oh well, opinions
appreciated anyway!)

I like
clean, well-kept hands better than any jewelry on a man, other than a good watch.

Definitely a
piercing of some kind.
Those Helmut Lang metal cuff bracelets are cool too. (At $200 a pop, they\'re a
bah-gain.)

oh
man....jeeez
what social circles are you in?
last two nice watches I owned both got taxed from me..never
again, rather ask for the time.
i do love jewelry on men and on women..but I would never buy one again unless I
was gonna be in cetain social situations a lot.
I do love bling and glamor..but alas I am not of that breeding

I\'ve read a
few times and heard from friends that a great attention-getter that can tempt one to start a conversation is
jewelry. I\'ve looked at a couple sites with nice rings in the $100 range and I may get one. Besides smiling &
eye contact what do you think fashion/gimmick wise is a great item to wear for getting noticed positively?

I was about to
post something similar about the clothes people wear. They say bright colors are good attention getters as well. Do
some of the guys here wear red or yellow shirts or things like that for that purpose?

Yes last summer
I decided to stop wearing dark colours (blues, greens, blacks) and bought some reds and yellows...and general light
colours...it does make a difference I think...and i will continue to do so

The attention
that \'Attention-grabbing\' jewelry produces, probably does not communicate the things that you\'d hoped
for.
But if you must adorn yourself (and you\'re not really dark skinned) avoid gold like the
plague. Opt instead for a dull-silver (or platinum/titanium if that floats yer boat) bracelet. Thin, but not too
thin. Thick, but not too thick. Fitted, rather than loose, or tight. And avoid rings. (apart from a wedding
band, if you\'re married - \'cept this probably won\'t help your \'pulling\' ability)
This is all
just my opinion, and you can take it however you want. Heed it, or discard it.

Funny shirts work,
especially around drunk girls, but of course the occasion matters.
I have a \"What\'cha talking about
Kathy?\" Different Strokes t-shirt that is hilarious and gets me girls and guys coming up to me (it has a picture
of arnold with his arm around kathy).

I\'m seriously doubting
funny t-shirts these days.
YES, they do get attention. YES, they can get a conversation going, but what message to
they send out about your maturity?
I wear them often. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I used to get a lot of attention from aerospace engineers by wearing a t-shirt with
Einstein\'s special theory of relativity on it. Then, there was the one with the Chopin etude on it. ......
All you need is a
watch so you don´t miss a date. The second VITAL and most important thing a man needs to have is his family jewels,
other wise it´s all for nothing /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif Oh, and the wedding ring needs to
be taken OFF if that´s an issue /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

A fat gold chain necklace with your horoscope sign in gold plate, at
least two inches wides, is always a plus. Either that or the Official Austin Powers giant Male Symbol gold
medallion is always a winner.
Honestly, even a watch is ostentacious to me. Anything beyond is just plain
tacky. However, to each their own. Some guys dig jewelery, and maybe, some low level secretarial pool in a New
Jersey Commercial Real Estate office has a weekly pool to see who bags the guy wearing the most jewelery. Ya never
know.

The best piece of
jewelry that a man can buy is a gold tooth. Women go crazy over a little playboy bunny, or a dollar sign on a
man\'s front tooth. Do it!

Elana-
I considered making a similar suggestion, but thought it might
have been too much...too much for the ladies to handle, that is. But while he\'s at it, he should have a nice
diamond imbedded in his gold tooth. Of course, if he wants to take it all the way, he should go for a really big
CZ...nothing says Mack Daddy like a gold tooth veneer w/ a really big CZ for the ultimate effect. I used to have
one, but couldn\'t handle being ravaged by hordes of women everywhere I went.
