View Full Version : Anybody know how to fix a doorbell?

.. the

one in my kitchen has started to \"chirp\" every few seconds-- like devices to when the battery gets weak. But...

it doesn\'t have any batteries. Just wires that look solidly connected. It\'s making me want to smash it with a

hammer. GRRRRRRRR!

BTW-- the button at the front door works fine. It\'s the chime in the kitchen (to which the button is wired)

that\'s chirping. GRRRRRRRR!

That\'s the mystery of it-- no battery. I\'ve opened the thing. SOUNDS

like a low batterty. WEIRD! Thanks!

Is it a mechanical or electronic chime? Look to see if it has a wire coil, clapper and bells or if it has a circuit

board and speaker.

on the mysterious chirping of my doorbell (which is electric, but no battery). It seems to have stopped. Dunno what

the hell it was.
