I like
Chrome. Lasts along time and works well in bars for me. Cool Water always a wise choice. Some such as Le Male are
rated well but don\'t mesh with mones well. Aqua Di Gio too but so many others wear it. You may want to check out
scentiments. Cheap prices. Especially on testers.
You didn\'t waste your money. Great deal. I\'m temted
to get myself but I already have plenty. I prefer TE to NPA too because I can add as I go during the night without
risk of OD. NPA easier to OD on.

I
finally got to smell A*Men this week...didn\'t like it. Might as well rub cheap candy on my neck.
But then I
didn\'t wait for much dry down (got a couple of wiffs of the card and told the lady behind the counter, \"Thanks
very much, but no\"), so maybe I missed out on something.
Did I?
bundyburger

YES. Never , I repeat: \"NEVER\" smell A*men directly after applying. lol
It smells much better if you
hold your breath, apply it (using \"spray into the air and run into it method\") and then ten minutes later, smell
it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
It\'s certainly different to all the others I have.

Get the smaller one. Thoughts on it are very polarized. You either love it or hate it.
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
Most women seem to love it. I reckon that\'s the
important bit. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
EDIT: Keep an eye out for cheap \"no

There\'s always E-bay dude, if you don\'t. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
When you do get
it try not to knock out your nose by smelling it straight away. It drys down differently and compliments your own
scent after 15mins or more.
I have
it....the only reason that somone couldn\'t like it is if you use to much. The people who do not like it usually
feel it is too strong, so you can use lotion to spread it around you.
But you made a good purchase, do not
worry.
Sexyredhead
02-29-2004, 07:52 PM
Yeah, even Angel women can be too much at first.
Except on Elana.
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
I know
this is a dumb question, but how much do you guys recommend for covering up mones?
I have trouble smellng any
scent that is on me, so even though I want to cover a smell that I have trouble picking up, I also do not want to
scent OD in the process of doing so.
Since Angel is strong, I am confused as too how much to use.
apple
02-29-2004, 08:24 PM
personally i think people should spray cologne/perfume and walk into it :P hints of smells are best, but for
covering i guess max of 3 sprays... i had a STRONG sense of smell and too much of any smell good or bad always gets
to me, so maybe you should not listen to me and listen to the experts on this one, just thought id say what my
opinion was anyway tho :P

I understand.....my bad /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
I went to
Sephora today to check out that Rochas.
I also tried D&G, Clean, Le Male, Chrome, L\'issey and maybe a
couple of others. Sorry if I am butchering any names.
To me most of them aren\'t worth it....a thin layer of
sandalwood on your skin smells better.
However, I see why Rochas could be enjoyable to women. That is some good
stuff. I have angel though, and it is not worth me getting, but I would recommend it over Angel.
Also, Le
Male, is some good stuff too, but I know everyone uses that, and that isn\'t cool.
I think chrome or D&G
ended up drying pretty decent. I think money on those would be better spent on a good mone product you do not own,
however.
If you do not have anything, or anything resembling Rochas, I think it is better than most of the
other frangances, and more worth the $. I want to smell Very Sexy from Victoria\'s Secret to see how that
compares however.
BTW, I was around some women after spraying the Rochas on me. I wasn\'t wearing mones, I
wasn\'t noticing any reactions, but then a women near me noticed me the second time we were close, and a cashier
gave me a big smile after I made a purchase. It wasn\'t a cashier just being friendly, it was either she liked
what she saw or the smell, I think it was the smell.
how
similar is rochas to le male? I have a near full bottle of le male already, so if they are very similar I won\'t
bother with rochas.
it is more
chocolately. Given that you have le male, I do not think it is crucial that you spend the $.
I wouldn\'t if I
had le male. Angel is the richest, then Rochas, then Le Male (though the other two are closest to each
other).
Unless you can find a cheap deal on ebay or something (which is dangerous because they can sell diluted
stuff or knock offs), I\'d save the $. You have to pay international shipping too, so getting a small size would
be pricey.
thanks

IMHO, Rochas Men is the best. I applied 1 spray about 2:30 PM (GREAT
SCENT!) and, at this moment (9:20 PM), I can still smell it... and it\'s different from the rest, including Le
Male (which I have)... better than Le Male I would say (without any doubts).
I agree
with all of that, it is better than angel and le male and others, though it seems to have faded a lot since I

Yea, it is

I
always have to walk away from a discussion of what \"the best\" cologne is. It depends on SOOOOO many factors
it\'s not even funny. Amouage Gold is a FANTASTIC scent, but I don\'t think I\'d wear it for a night out with
the mates at a bar. Hanae Mori is a captivating cologne, but it\'s not well suited to a night at the symphony. I
personally love Le Male, but it\'s not something I\'d care to wear to work the day I\'m giving a big
presentation.
Scents, like clothing, have informal (AdG, Curve, CW, DKNY), semi-formal (Allure, HM, GIT, Egoiste
Platinum), formal (Envy, M7, Boucheron, Amouage Gold), and hawaiian shirt (A*Men, Rochas Man, DK Men). Within each,
you have different scents that will have different effects. While A*Men says \"Come and smell me,\" DK Men will
invite \"Uhh, you smell like gasoline!\"
Then you have to factor in what your individual skin chemistry is.
Myself, I tear up the high and mid notes, stripping down to the base notes in short order. If a cologne is short on
the base notes, it won\'t wear well on me.
And then, after all of this, you get to consider the intended
target. Is it anyone you can get to smell you or one gal in particular? Here\'s a hint: Find out what dear old dad
wore, and wear something like that for her, if not the exact same thing.. It\'ll make her feel like a little girl
all over again trusting her daddy. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
So, in short, there is no
one \"best\" cologne. Some are better than others, but many should have a legitimate shot at making it onto the
dresser.

Just
a certifiable fragrance junkie, that\'s all. Other than Cool Water, I own every one of those scents I mentioned. I
liked AdG and bought it when it came out, and then every kid who saved his money working afterschool at
McDonald\'s went out and bought it. That\'s one I should rightfully ebay.

All told, I think I\'m probably at 45 now, which is WAY more
than any straight guy should really own.

Great post! But,,,, be careful of personal chemistry. Some
perfectly beutiful scents might not agree with your skin. I had that happen ONCE. It\'s embarassing.

I
just buy mine on ebay, plus I try to pick up samples. If you don\'t like it, you can always turn around and sell
it, likely for something near what you paid for it. Ebay makes it too easy to buy scents though, which is a large
factor in why I have 45 colognes!
