Dr ST and I just got the biggest

snow in this area in about 15 years! Doesn\'t snow much normally. We made a massive snow man in our front yard.

The bottom ball was nearly 5 feet in diameter. We just rolled it until 2 adults couldn\'t budge it any further.

The other parts we had to lift into place in sections.

Luckily I was in bed with

the flu and missed all the snow. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

If you

were in PA, you\'d have to be sick for a LONG friggin\' time to miss the snow...

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I say that as we\'ve had a near-record high yesterday of

60+...don\'t worry, it\'ll be back down into the 20\'s and below tomorrow...

Yeah, people in Oregon freak

out over a couple of snowflakes! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif They don\'t budget much for salt

trucks and ploughs out here.

No women in the bed, I\'m afraid. I had to cancel two dates this weekend (one

was a \'blind date\', so no biggie!). /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif There\'s just me and

my Stratocaster, which has had all its shots. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Sometimes it sleeps

on top of me and purrs, just like a woman. Mostly we snuggle. I guess that makes me \"whammy-sexual\".

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I can\'t have anyone over right now, anyway. I\'m right in

the middle of moving, besides having the flu. My friend who is helping me is afraid of catching it (who can blame

him?), so the moving is on hold. My place is trashed, with boxes and piles of things half-packed.

Luckily I

know a little about healing myself, and the fever has already broke, after three days in bed (which beats a month,

like I\'ve heard some folks go down for). Moral of the story? Wash your hands, kids. And get yourself a guitar.

Schools closed here today (was

supposed to be the first day back after Christmas vacation)

Weather is unfreaking belieavable in Oregon this

year. For those of you not familiar with this area, it does NOT snow here unless you are in the mountains. Number

3 freak snow fall of the season happened during the night and schools are closed. At the moment we are getting

freezing rain and roads are like an iceskating arena. I\'ll be hear behind my computer as usual.

The weather in north Texas

had been wonderful. We had a high of 76 degrees last Thursday. Last night it dropped to 21 degrees and is still

below freezing. Kind of a shock to the system.

Now if you folks on the west coast wanted to send some of that

rain/snow our way, it would be great. It has only rained twice since late October.

If we could trade some of

our rain for some of your sun Oregon would be the most popular place on the planet. As it is, I\'m glad we have

something that keeps the masses away.

Funny, I thought everyone was TRYING to go there at one point..........in

fact, don\'t they have a bunch of computer games based on that? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

up. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

It\'s

for the water, or rather for all the lithium in the water. A very mellow group up there.

I never could see snow in my

life! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif The climate in the city where I live never change! The truth

is does not exist climatic stations here, but we separate in summer and winter. In the summer rains each 3 days. In

the winter rains everyday!

That\'s why I posted a pic. :-) The snow only lasted for a few hours, the next day

temperatures were back in the high 40s (Fahrenheit) so it all melted away. The winters here seem to get milder and

milder..

(This is a good thread to waste my 3000th post on btw)

3. I STILL think you should be

I was raised in

Michigan. I\'ve been living in California. Snow is now the stuff that tops mountains, a couple time a year.

That\'s as close as I EVER want to get to the stuff, again!

Franki,

Congrats!

Kari,

I

hear you. Every few years we get a light snowfall. That\'s all I need. This winter was a freaky one.
