well if half of what is said about him is true then he should be locked away for a very long time with a BIG BLACK
guy named bubba who has a thing for light skin brothers /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The Ballad Of Jacko (courtesy Trashy Quatrains, Ltd.)
Oh, why must he deny?
Palest skin, where
hath he been?
And that nose! What kind of guy,
Believes that he can fly?
Oddities so vast,
And children\'s
wares half-mast,
Oh, how could he pretend,
Especially when thrice asked?
His children shall he scar,
With nary
a guitar,
But rather with a lack,
Of brain cells left intact
The outcome now is certain,
For Jacko, it is
curtains,
The King of Pop shall fall,
Cause that image just ain\'t workin\'.
(Keep in mind my love for
Thriller and white gloves.)

All (very bad) jokes aside...
I would be astonished if half (make that most) of these stories were
actually true.
You\'re right, Franki. Sad story indeed.

People do often jump on the bandwagon...It\'s very easy to say ewww he is gross yes he did do it...
The accusations coming out now are somewhat expected after all he was charged with all of this before to think that
given his in the gutter reputation that someone couldn\'t easily strike...Yet he has not covered his tracks and he
gives more than enough ammo for anyone accusing him.....
Who knows? We all may think we do...maybe we will soon.

With all the children he has seen over the years and only 2 in all have come forward? Possible
If
the charges are true I think it\'s a sad story for the children, not MJ woo HOO.

When I first heard \"Thriller,\" I thought he was saying that he wanted to have sex with Barry Diller (\"Have
sex with Dill-er, Dill-er now\" etc.) Little did I know how much weirder the situation would actually turn
out to be.

Personaly I don\'t like the guy. But that does not give any of us the right to publicaly try and
convict him. It reminds me of several other high profile cases where the defendant was tried in the news long before
they ever got to court. In several cases the public condemmed them yet the courts found them not guilty. It trashes
their life and that is not justice.

That\'s one good example. Another was a cop accussed of molestation a few years back. There has to be
a better way to go about this. Freedom of the press does not give the press or the people the right to destroy an
innocent person\'s life. I am all for harsh punishment of the guilty but we so often punish the not guilty before
they ever go to trial.

It\'s easy to say, where\'s your
proof? You are demonstrating exactly what I was talking about. You have convicted the guy based on what you saw in
the media. You were not at the trial, you do not know the people on the jury and you did not listen to the mountains
of evidence. Yet you know all the answers! How absurd!
The case presented to the court was full of holes and did
not explain how he could have done it. IMO It seems likely he was there but he had to have help. Who helped him? Why
didn\'t the police follow through and determine all the facts? Why couldn\'t the prosecutor put together a
coherent case?

Well, the thing is.... he admits that he often sleeps in the same bed with kids. Even if

Agreed. i do think, though, if the
Mark Furman issue hadn\'t been built into racism, the trial might have gone the other way. BTW-- Furman\'s work
is well known, around here. The guy really was a first-rate detective. He was also a MAJOR [censored], and a
world-class sexist. But, he was never thought to have been a racist.
BTW2-- They DID find evidence of the murder
weapon... a Swiss Army knife, on the bathtub rim. But, the uniforms lost the thing, just after it was logged in.

That\'s the point. So what if they are weird or pathological? It does not give us the right

press is not the place to try him. Especially since the press has a long history of taking sides and sensationalism.

does have an unhealthy attitude toward kid, IMHO. He also does a lot of good work for needy children.

described a Winny the Pooh tattoo that Jackson allegedly has on his genitals.

Agreed that the press should not be a
court of law. However, the other side of that is due to celebrity status and money, some folks get away with doing a
lot of harm for perhaps too long.
If O.J. had been thrown in the can the FIRST time he hit Nicole, maybe
she\'d still be alive.
Around here, some of these folks hurty a lot of people before things reach critical
mass.
In a perfect world, the press would not conduct trails, but the courts would do so isometrically.

Elana and Kari,
You are probably right. There never is an excuse for spousal or child abuse and if
it occurs it should be punished harshly.
From the other side of the coin, I had four serious run ins with the
Callifornnia legal system. The first is a long story but because it was my word against a woman\'s I was nearly
convicted for something that simply did not happen. The other three were pay backs for my loud public denuciations
of the legal system after the first fiasco. I was a serious public embarrasment to the Countra Costa County DA and
prosecutors\' offices. All told, the four events nearly cost me my daughter and did bankrupt me. After those
experiences, I hold the legal system in contempt and do not ever trust their word for anything. I can\'t tell you
the number of outright lies told under oath by those who inforce our laws. It\'s disgraceful.
