And just when I

thought that finding the proletariate masses at Wal-Mart was the single worst possible experience in the long

history of man, it looks like my local Wal-Mart is going to be a vertiable zoo as it seems that one of the cashiers

from the one that I am often forced to shop from is gracing the pages of Playboy.com. (At least I think it\'s the

same girl. Same name, looks the same.)

Anyway, if anyone here has a membership to Playboy.com, I\'d be most

always be judged by different standards because they are different. We are hard-wired through thousands of years of

The history behind

men looking down on women who sleep around has to do with every man\'s goal in procreation, to pass down his own

genes. Men didn\'t want to devote time with raising a baby that wasn\'t theirs. They didn\'t have pregenncy

tests until fairly recently in the history of the human race.

You could break it down all you want, as in, not

all men care about having babies etc, but we still can\'t help how our brain is hard-wired by nature\'s

goals.

Evolution has a lot to do with the way you think, whether you want to admit it to yourself or not. As

much as today\'s society influences attitudes, we are still all just products of nature, and thus is the reason

why we have double-standards -- because we function differently and therefore have different needs,

likes/dislikes.

CJ. I completely

agree that both sexes are hardwired by evolution. Hell, that is why women want a confident guy, want a strong guy.

I believe one or both of those terms I listed in my original thread in this page, about all the adjectives that are

double-standards, and how it is completely understandable because we are two different genders with two different

needs.

And don\'t get me wrong, I don\'t look down on women who sleep around as sluts. As long as she is

doing it becuse she enjoys the sex, not for other reasons, which sometimes do occur, I admire a woman who is

empowered and unrepressed by her sexuality.

Hpowver, I certainly understand why the such women can be

looked down upon, and why there is a double standard, and whether you or I agrees with it morally, it exists because

of nature.

I don\'t like the fact that women like big guys, or guys who can be assholes, but I understand

it from a biological perspective, so how can I fault anyone for these things when it is not actually MEAN-SPIRITED

and you can\'t blame anyone for trying to give their genetic code the best chance to be succesfully carried on for

generations to come (which all works unconsciously). Even a woman\'s vagina acts differently with a new one-time

partner by making it more likely the sperm get to the egg (which is why pregnacies in rape situations occur at an

above average rate)

There are so many dynamics going on in the way men and women behave and think, but none

of it is mean-spirited. Ultimately wew have to be comfortable with our differences and with being judged

differently by the ooposite sex thean they judge their own gender.
