I just got the

following email:

I GOT YOUR MAIL ADDRESS IN YOUR PROFILE, I WANT TO BRING YOU INTO A BUSINESS
THAT WILL FECTH US

MONEY WORTH OF
$30M US DOLLARS , IF ONLY YOU WILL BE HORNEST

The 30 million is really tempting, but I

fear I can not be hornest enough for these people, and if I lie to them about my hornesty, aren\'t I just lying to

myself?

There\'s a whole list of scams out there that start of like that. Eventually they ask for a credit card, bank

account number or some other $$ surety to demonstrate your good faith.

Of course,

we also have the Nigerian scams, the Paypal and eBay scams, the bank scams. Same routine, or worse. The Nigerian

scams got some people killed.

don\'t know of you guys get this in the states too, but in the UK I keep getting those letters by snail mail

saying that I won some swiss lottery with an amount of 100\'000 EUROs, but I must pay them 50 EUROs first as the

processing cost or something.
I usually just ignore such letters, but last time I got that, I replied to them using

their attached pre-payed envelope which is meant for the credit card details form. Instead of my card number I

attached a note thanking them for the price and instructing them to deduct the 50 EUROs from my 100\'000 EUROs

price, and that I will be expecting only 99\'950 EUROs.
That made them stop sending me any more of their junk
