View Full Version : Yogurt helps acne?

Okay, to be short and sweet since I\'m kind of tired, and need sleep:

I\'ve noticed that when I eat a fair amount of yogurt (three cups per week) my skin clears up and that when I don\'t, I get pimples.

It\'s the acidophilus in it that works as a cleanser, I\'m guessing. Maybe taking pure acidophilus will help more, but hey, I like eating yogurt. Maybe if I do both I\'ll really make my skin \"glow\" with healthiness.

Okay bye now, hope somebody tries this for a few weeks and sees some excellent results.

Are you sure the yogurt you\'re eating has acidophilus in it? They don\'t all have it, you know.
And how do you know it\'s not the milk that\'s helping your face look better? Or the fact that you\'re eating yogurt instead of whatever else you\'re eating that may be causing you to break out.

Just some thoughts.

Good point SRH. I assume pantero that you´re eating the `real´ natural yoghurt types I mean the ones made properly, they have a slightly acidic taste?

Hey, if the yghurt helps, great for you. If you have acne problems this might help you too. Get hold of some isopropyl alcohol and dilute it about 50% or less with distilled water (better than tap water). Use a cotton bud to cleanse for face before going to bed.

Isopropyl cleanses and disinfects at the same time and it´s much better for your skin than the other stuff you get in shops like clearasil etc.

Oh and make sure you also get a moisturizer to apply afterwards too otherwise your skin just dries out.

Makes a great face mask, too. Smear on,

let dry, rub off. Also, clears up yeast infections in ladies who douche with it (try not to use the fruited

varieties <g>)

Maybe I shouldn\'t mention potential applications for turkey basters,

either, then.
