Late Monday night (two days ago) I noticed a red ring shape on my leg & today it developed a red dot in the middle so that it looks like the classic sign of lyme disease.
But what makes me doubt it\'s lyme disease is that I read lyme disease is larger (this is about 1/2 the size of a dime) and isn\'t contracted until a tick has been on someone long enough to become engorged. I\'m sure I would have noticed a tick in that time period.
So is there anything else that would look like this? (I wish I could post a pic, but I don\'t have a digi cam.) I considered it being a spider bite or something like that, but they\'ve never given me a ring shape.
If I see a doctor, should it be a dermatologist or general doc?
Thanks for any help... btw, I\'m posting b/c I don\'t have health insurance & don\'t want to spend $ on a doc if it\'s something that\'ll go away on it\'s own.
