View Full Version : Masturbation before a date

Why do guys do this?

I didn\'t realize until just lately the problems excess masturbation causes.

Listening to other women talk on more sexually related sites ... so many guys can\'t get/keep it up or don\'t cum because they\'ve masturbated one or more times on the DAY they had a date - I mean a date that would include sex - not a first date, etc. A meeting with a woman where it was understood there would be sex.

I know a guy who worked at an impotence clinic and he said one of the first treatment recommendations they made was that the guy stop masturbating.

I don\'t get why a guy would whack off when he knows he\'s getting laid later on in the day - or why he wouldn\'t want to save up some energy and actually lay off for a few days, in anticipation of a date.

Maybe because he is nervous for the date and wants to release some tension. It could work that way for me at least..

alot of us do that. no one wants to be thinking about sex the whole time you are trying to have a conversation with tsomeone (not that it exactly works). The less your dick is doing the talking, the easier it is to get laid.

As for having trouble performing, maybe that happens to some guys, but i don\'t think most guys have much of a prob.

i think guys do it because women are so flaky it could be hard to tell when your are actually gonna get laid.

This might sound Mobleyish, but the answer\'s in the movie, SOMETHING ABOUT MARY. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif The guy is afraid because he finds the lady so attractive, he thinks he might have to use the line...\"that bulge on the left/right side of my pants is because I used too much spray starch!\" So his weakening of his one-eyed noodle, keeps everything under control. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif Some guys just can\'t control it...they\'re just bonerfied when it comes to such loveliness. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I just edited my original post. I don\'t mean a date, like let\'s have dinner and I\'ll pretend I\'m fascinated by your mind. I mean a meeting with a woman that you are going to have sex with which might also include some social activities. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I\'m bringing it up because it gives a lot of guys a lot of problems. As I said, the first recommendation at the impotence clinic is for the guy to stop masturbating so much. And there are lots of women writing who complain of guys who can\'t get it up or can\'t cum because they masturbate too much.

Well one side of the seduction site pros recommend doing this before you go out, as it relieves your need for \"immediate \" sex so you are more likely to be relaxed, not come off as desperate, and able to control yourself in not making sexual advances on her until you get indications of interest from her. The other side (the Gunwitch side and I kinda lean towards this) says to cut out the masturbation as much as possible and especially before you meet a lady as your sexual energy will be down and this school says the key to getting a lady interested in you is precisely projecting sexual energy.

I\'m with Gunwitch.

A woman of my aquaintance was recently very disappointed when she finally got together with a guy she had been talking to for weeks through an internet site, and he couldn\'t get it up even with Viagra (they tried 1/4 pill). Our mutual friend who worked at an impotence clinic talked to him and he masturbates 3-4 times a day.

It boggles my mind that a guy would whack off to the point that he couldn\'t have sex with a woman.

monesrule

if he knew that would happen, he probably wouldn\'t have done it. in fact, he was probably thinking of getting her off -- maybe he didn\'t want to cum before she had hers. Then again, maybe he just got horny thinking about their upcoming sex encounter and he couldn\'t help himself /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

True - this to me is one of the downsides of porn. I like my porn /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif but I think the availability of porn on the net is causing a lot of folks to substitute self-pleasuring for the real thing. But then again with the hoops a lot of ladies make you go through nowadays just to even get a date, I guess a lot of guys figure why bother.

Well if he wacks off now then later on that date, if there is sex he will last much longer, that\'s why its done in that situation. I would do the same if that was going to happen.

Really? So you usually whack off before you have sex?

seadove
06-01-2003, 07:57 PM
There are situations when you meet a girl and you know that it\'s going to end up with sex.So what happens is that when you get to that part, the sex might end up with premature ejaculation, which happens to younger guys of the age of 18 to 25, and happens quite often to say 65% of the guys.

So I\'d say this may be quite a good solution for guys with premature ejaculations, you release the tention before, then go on to your date, and by the time he gets to the sex part, he\'s ready to satisfy his g/f better and longer.

my 2 quids.

Masturbating constantly seems to cause performance problems, is what I\'m hearing.

But it also appears this is a matter of age. A 17 year old can whack off all day and all night and still get it back up, right, the problem with that age group is more about premature ejaculation. The problem with guys in their 30\'s on up is impotence or not being able to cum. Both of those latter problems are not helped by masturbating.

I didn\'t know that and thought it was interesting.

Women are advised to masturbate as often as possible because the more you have orgasms, the easier they are to reach, is the theory.

I don\'t hear men advised not to masturbate. I didn\'t realize it could be harmful to your sex life.

monesrule
06-01-2003, 08:12 PM
doesn\'t it seem kinda logical though that if you are having problems in the bedroom, perhaps you should abstain from squelching your horniness?

Maybe the problem isn\'t impotence. maybe it\'s stupidity.

I don\'t think it\'s an addiction.It\'s more like a biological development that has nothing to do the rational thinking, deciding if it\'s good or bad.

The horniness just comes out by itself.

No, addiction is when you take something IN your body.

This \"something\" is already there.

Believe me, nature rules here.

monesrule

right, but it is all chemical stuff with the brain in the end. whether the source triggering those chemicals was imported or not doesn\'t change the person\'s experience.

Perhaps harder to stop though if it your own body causing the addiction, unless you actually take drugs to correct that.

The second time around after you have dropped off your little soldiers, you can last around twice as long, I could probably time this is you want /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif. First time around is way too sensitive and it will be over in a matter of minutes (younger the worst). The switch up time may take a guy 3 hours or just 30 seconds (/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif).

you could change the word \"masturbate\" to do drugs or drink in that statement. Doesn\'t mean anything. I don\'t even necessarily know if it is, just didn\'t agree with your argument against that to ftr, then to me. but enough of that.

It\'s a myth that one can get addicted to masturbation. It can be a bad habit, but not an addiction.

The subject of this thread was \"Why guys masterbate before their date\" or something like that.I gave clearly my point of view on this and the reason why I did the same when I was about 21 to 23.Jason also had the same opinion as mine.

A few schools of thought here...

As pointed out earlier in, \"There\'s something about Mary.\" The blonde guy, I forget his name, said to the brunette guy (man I\'m losing my mind I can\'t remember these actors names!!!), before he had a date with Mary, \"Did you clean the pipes?\" or some other similar euphemism. His point was, you don\'t want to have sperm ready to impregnate her. I don\'t subscribe to this theory although some men might after watching it.

I used to masturbate before dates when I knew I was getting laid when I was younger for the soul purpose of lasting a really long time when we did it. I didn\'t have so much of a problem keeping it up, but this one girl I dated needed a RIDICULOUS amount of foreplay (think of getting me hard, keeping me hard for over an hour & then submitting & having sex), I think if you looked up cock-tease in the dictionary there is a picture & phone number of her!

Lastly just because a guy is in his 30\'s (I\'ll be 32 in just over a week) doesn\'t mean he is at risk of impotence & if he masturbates before a date then he won\'t be able to perform. If you know a guy in this predicament, then yeah DUH, don\'t masturbate.

I also subscribe to Gunwitch in terms of keeping your test. levels high by abstaining from masturbation. I just joined a gym yesterday & stocked up on a ton of supplements one of which is Tribex 500 (test. booster), I\'m going to go easy on it after reading Mobley\'s post about prostrate problems, also I intend to see a doctor regularly (maybe every 3 months for a checkup) to test my test. levels to see if they change any as well as if they change to any dangerous levels (can you say SUPER-Alpha-MALE, lol).

Masturbating the day BEFORE is a good way to clean out the old sperm and recharge with fresh ones. They don\'t live forever and a guy needs the right turnover rate to keep on top of his game. Plus, there are different types of sperm cells and masturbating can get the right ones in the right part of the queue.

A young guy might well do it before a date to simmer himself down.

I\'ve been walking around for years with a permanent smile from masturbating all the time.
