Are these two scents the same or not? I\'ve only physically smelled the A Men, and picked up a bottle of it (1.7oz) for $30. It is in the same bottle and package that the Angel/m looks to be in, but I see people debating whether it\'s the same fragrance or not. Are the Angel/m and A Men boxes the same, and is it the same scent just under 2 names? (Similar to AXE differences between the US market and European market).

Yeah so did I, but I saw this:

Just curious, when you tried his knock off of Angel Men, was it as overpowering as the real cologne? I don\'t like cologne very much, but I like A*Men a lot. I always wore one spray since its so damn overpowering. But after a while, even at one spray, I notice my friends getting the sniffles around me. I think its the A*Men, because w/o it, no one\'s getting the sniffles.

I\'ve also seen in stores an Angel box right next to an A*Men box. They both look identical, but I couldn\'t figure out the reasoning behind 2 different products w/ 2 different names in the same boxes/bottles by the same maker.

I\'ve seen it sold as Angel for Men here, but a good friend in Paris says it\'s A*Men there.

Think of the \'A*\' as \'Angel for\'.

Does that help?

It used to be Angel for Men but the manufacturer decided to change the name to A*Men.

Why? Haven\'t a clue but both could be on the store shelves for a while.

Its the same thing (fragrance and product). From what I understand, Mugler originally released the cologne in Europe as A*Men and released it in the States as Angel Men.

I was asking bivonic about the EO knock off of Mugler\'s Angel Men/A*Men that he tried at that EO store in Nantucket. Sorry, didn\'t mean to confuse things.

Don\'t know if you know of this site: www.basenotes.com (\"http://www.basenotes.com\")

A good site. Learned about it from here. I think its down until early June; last I checked it.
