Hi,

As a newbie, off course did I plough through all messages including the archive AND I couldn\'t find the answer to my question:

Do pheromones have influence on the performance of the contraceptive pill?
E.g. when I use AE/m will this have any effects on my wife with respect to her ovulation? (I\'m not ready for kids /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif)

Thanks.

I\'m serious, if mones influence a women\'s sexual mood do they or not have influence on their cycle?

Any girls out here? You\'re the experts i.m.h.o. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

In theory, if the BC pills are just on the edge of effectiveness, exposing her to strong \'mones through the early part of her cycle could cause her to ovulate anyway. However, this is merely speculation on my part and it think it a very, very low probablity event. I wouldn\'t worry about it.

What would happen normally is the BC pills would blunt the effects of \'none, particularly around the time of ovulation when she is most receptive.

I personally, and with no scientific proof whatsoever, think it wouldn\'t affect a girl\'s cycle. Why? Well, there are other things that affect your sexual mood--alcohol, visual things, full moon, etc, and THEY don\'t affect your cycle. (Well, the moon does in a way, but that\'s different.) I think it\'s more that someone has found these chemicals that help put you in the mood (like you would tend to be at certain times of the month), but I doubt something you smell is going to have that much of an effect.

I\'ve been using -mones for a few months, and haven\'t noticed any changes in my cycle. I still have PMS at the same time, still have those days when every male in sight looks hot, etc, and all at the regular times. I\'m not worried about it, but thats just my humble opinion.
