Whitehall,
I think you wrote something last year about Damiana liquor (wetter\'s better cocktail?)
I had some last weekend and was wondering if you\'ve heard of a way to make it. I can get Damiana here in many forms (leaves concentrate etc. etc. ) but not damiana the liquor.
Interested in finding out what the WB mix does to a date this weekend.

Don\'t have the formula for the liquor but usually liqours are made by soaking the herb in vodka or brandy then filtering.

With damiana, that would make a bitter drink so I imagine that lots of sugar is added.

The raw herb in capsules has the greatest direct effect if you take it for a day or two or three before the event but that can get rough on the tummy. The liquid concentrates seem to be more mental in effect and weakly at that. Tea is drinkable but of limited effect. Smoking the raw leaves might give a little buzz but that just might be caused by carbon monoxide.

So far, the Wetter\'s Better recipe has shown the most dramatic effects on the female in terms of lubricity while the raw herb capsules heat the genitals the most.

If I were to make my own damiana liquor, I\'d use raw leaves or empty some capsules and soak in warm acidified alcohol like vodka with ascorbic acid (vitamin C). I wouldn\'t boil it since there must be some active volatile fractions. I\'d filter then dilute in more vodka and add sugar to taste.

Note that these are from non-controlled, limited populations experiments using a variety of commercial, non-standardized damiana forms. Still, they have been colloborated by other Forum members.

Damiana is fun to play with and cheap and apparently of limited side effects. Have fun experimenting - I sure have!

When searching on the web I found a few sites that explain how to make it. You could try that.

Wish the commercial stuff was available here too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I think I\'ll try one of the recipes...or two. I did a search too and found some that take from 1 week to a month to properly prepare.
I\'ll let everyone know how they taste when I\'m done.

Gents,

If anyone\'s interested in the real McCoy, Guaycura Damiana Liqueur, here\'s a link that MAJORSOB was kind enough to give me last year:

Here\'s a place that ships damiana liquor internationally.
http://www.sendliquor.com/id104354list36product.html (\"http://www.sendliquor.com/id104354list36product.html\")

$46 for the bottle. Of course, the shipping will cost you $77. So you need to ask yourself how much is \"increased lubricity\" (was that the term? ;P) worth. For that price ($123) you almost have a bottle of amouage, hehe.

Or you could go here: http://store.yahoo.com/randalls/rws16350.html (\"http://store.yahoo.com/randalls/rws16350.html\")

Got my bottle for $35 and thats after shipping factored in.
