Here are two links for further information on SARS.
The UN\'s World Health Organization (WHO):
http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/sars/faq.htm (\"http://www.who.int/csr/sars/sarsfaq/en/>http://www.who.int/csr/sars/sarsfaq/en/</a>
And\")
Personally I was shocked when the \"authorities\" here in San Jose let a plane load (136) of people off a flight from Tokyo even though 4 of them showed SARS and all had been breathing the same air for 9 hours on a trans-Pacific flight two hours in quarantine. Three people were taken to the hospital on first reports.
The last news is that they did NOT have SARS. We\'ll see.
The CDC and WHO have issued no explicit direction to the contrary - so far. I suspect that they (and we) will regret that recommendation and subsequent decision.
