filterfactory,

Thoroughly cover the stained area with about half an inch of baking soda.
Let stand overnight.
Sweep off the baking soda.
Repeat 75 times.
Bury desk in back yard.

Oh dear!

Did it soak in much? If it did (actually we are talking aby soaking at all), then its bye bye desk. But you can try a number of things. The first is deoderant, then Fabreeze (sp?), and some other stuff that I\'m sure the guys will come up with.

1 liter petrol
1 match
apply petrol to desk, ignite match and touch to petrol soaked desk.

Next time remember to put something to cover you workspace when mixing mone\'s. I usually cover my desk with aluminum foil and get on with the mixing, thats probably the best precaution you can take for this wont happen ever again.

Thanx all, I tried the soap then the deodorant and put cologne on top. That seems to have cut the smell down quite a bit, but still stinks. It didn\'t soak in very much, I quikley wiped off the spill with paper towel and then applied lots of soap and then later some deodorant. I\'m going to try some ethanol right now.

Bet that smells like the outhouse door on a tuna fish boat.

If You put desk to direct sunlight, it would help.
Also, any strong light and warmth will do the job too.

Good Luck, pure You.

filterfactory,

I wasn\'t kidding about the baking soda part. The stuff absorbs odors like crazy. Plus, you could have scraped the stuff off the desk into a baggie and had a nice EW powder to apply later on. /ubbthreads/images/icons/wink.gif
