ratio question

so i\'ve been reading up in the archives about different mix ratios and how to mix stuff... let\'s say the ratio is 7:3 for SOE and NPA... does that mean 7 dabs to 3 dabs or 7 ml to 3 ml or is it relative to the conentration in each phermone...

Technically speaking, the choice of 7ml and 3ml is what it\'s supposed to be. It\'s working off of a percentage ratio on each product.

Going by 7 dabs or drops with the different products may get you close....but not exact. In many cases, the products have different thicknesses making the drops different sizes depending on how they come out of the dropper. Also, in terms of dabs...the sizes of each bottle\'s opening is different, so the dabs won\'t always be the same size either.

To be exact, you\'d be best to get a calibrated syringe or other measuring device to make sure you\'re mix ratios are accurate.

Always make a small batch first 2mls in total at most just to try it out but not waste all of youre individual products.
You should get about 2 weeks out of 2mls with normal applicaiton of say 3 or 4 drops. Should be long enough to get a feel for it and if it doesnt work the way u wanted to change it to something else.
The reason we started mixing is to get the best of each product. I now recommened the following.

10% Anone
40% Anol
10% Arone
10% A1
10% EW (400:1 Diultion in water)
20% WAGG

Or you could just buy chem set, a1,WAGG and PCC. Although that would make a different mix.

Although it would cost about 350-400$, only for those who want to mix using base compounds and want to get the extras to play with, make a maximum of a total mix of 3 mls so as to save everything else for other tests and let us know how it goes.
