What is everyone\'s favourite alcoholic drink?

Mixers, cocktails, or even just beer. Name it. Maybe even give a recipe. /ubbthreads/images/icons/laugh.gif
What\'s that cocktail you just can\'t say no too if someone offers to buy it for you.

Inspired by Whitehall \"Wetter\'s Better\" recipe. /ubbthreads/images/icons/tongue.gif

Now you\'re talking MY language !!
Me? I thrive on draft beer preferably Carlsberg (probably the best beer in the world).
If they don\'t have a Carlsberg I\'ll settle for a Guiness.
That\'s why I\'m a teddy bear. /ubbthreads/images/icons/laugh.gif

The Classic - Bombay Martini up, with a twist. And, yes, shaken is better.

I don\'t drink too often, but when I do, I love to have a Mojito!

Here is a recipe.

Mojito:

1.5 shots white rum, Bacardi (originally cuban) is traditional.
1 tablespoon simple syrup, or sugar if you don\'t want to make the syrup
1-2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves
1/2 lime
Splah of club soda

juice the lime into a tall glass, then add all other ingredients except the club soda, but including the lime skin into the glass. Muddle or mash furiously. It helps if you have have a mortar (big wooden dowel) to really mash the mint and lime skin.

Top with a splash of club soda.

Tel me that doesn\'t sound like the best summer drink, ever!

Cream Scotch, cream scotch, cream scotch!!! Columba cream...until recently, available only in the Scottish highlands. Through the magic of the internet, it\'s now available online. Smooth as silk, but packs enough power to knock even the strongest man straight on his a$$. /ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif

Every skeptic I\'ve encountered has become a lifelong convert after the first sip.

We call that a buttery nipple, I would rather have a hottie waitress hear me order a buttery nipple then anything with a cock or penis in the name /ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif

If you like Baileys, then Columba cream is right up your alley. Smooth as Baileys, but with the most amazing kick you can imagine. Drinking Baileys is like drinking water compared to Columba creme. A little goes a loooooong way. Not for the faint of heart! Expensive (especially with shipping included), but worth every cent.

The 1 Hour Martinizer

It can only be made properly in a solo cup. (you know, those plastic solo cups)

Ingredients:
Ketel 1 (my personal favorite but any top shelf vodka will suffice)
Seltzer (not flat)
Tropicana Twister-Orange strawberry guava (no substitutions)

Fill Solo cup with ice. (this is a hot summer drink)
Add Ketel 1 to the first plastic ridge line of solo cup (first line from the bottom)
Add Seltzer to second line (from the bottom)
Add Tropicana Twister to top of solo cup
Stir and serve
Wait 1 hour

I agree. But we just ask for a \'cowboy\' which sounds almost as bad but not quite. /ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif

Called Buttery Nipples some places here too. /ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif

You know, I was just going through the cocktail recipe book yesterday, because we couldn\'t remember what all was in a Zombie, and the bartender at the pub we were at the other night had never heard of it. (He also didn\'t put anything but gin, vodka, tequila, rum, and a dash of coke in the Long Island Iced Tea. Whew!!)

Anyway, if any of you need to know, by chance, what\'s in a Zombie, here ya go.

2 oz. Light Rum, 1 oz. Dark Rum, 1 oz. Apricot Brandy, Splash Simple Syrup, Pineapple Juice, 151% Rum

Blend rums, brandy, simple syrup & pineapple juice with ice, Pour into Collins or Hurricane glass, Float 151 on top

Yummy! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Favorite drink...hmmmmm...

How about:

A Slow Comfortable Screw Up Against the Wall (and damn if it doesn\'t just keep getting better and better everytime you ask somebody if they\'d like another one)

3/4 oz. Vodka
3/4 oz. Sloe gin
3/4 oz. Southern Comfort

Shake over ice, and then pour into a sexy highball glass.

Add a couple ounces of orange juice, and a splash of galliano on top.

I like to garnish with a couple of very thin twists from an orange.

Favorite (at the moment): the good old Caipirinha.

* 1 large or two small limes
* 2 heaping tablespoons of sugar
* 3 ounces of cachaça
* crushed ice

First cut the lime into eight wedges. Put the pieces, peel down and pulp up (or remove the peel), into a 10 oz drink glass. Sprinkle the sugar on the lime. Crush the sugar into the lime with a wooden pestle. (Be careful to not crush the lime skin very much, as this adds a bitter quality to the flavor.) Pour the cachaça over the lime. Shake or stir well. Add ice.

*If you use vodka instead of cachaça, it\'s a Caipiroska; with rum, it\'s a Caipirissima.

Passion fruit variation is yummy, too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

My Favorite Drink is Absinthe. I also like Ouzo, Goldschlager, and Bacardi 151.

If I am making a

coctail, I usually have a bull rush (Absinthe, vodka, and red bull), A bloody mary with everclear, or a Rum and

Coke.

By the way, if any of you are interested in Absinthe history and information, check out my new site.

www.absinthe.i8.com (\"http://www.absinthe.i8.com\"). I just finished re designing it yesterday.

Had a Jagermeister

and Damiana over ice last night and it was damn good tasting.

The Red Bull has all those stimulants and

Jagermeister has those 56 herbs.

You know something from hard-won experience?

God no! Not that hard-won!

Interesting mix, though.

Sounds crazy enough to be a Richard Marcinko fave...after he\'s exhausted the supply of Bombay, of

course!
